THE Quarterly Communication of the Craft Grand Lodge will be held on Wednesday next , 5 th inst ., at Freemasons' Hall , Great Queen Street , London , W . C ., at 5 for 6 p . m . The following is the Agenda of Business :

9 . REPORT OF THE BOARD OF GENERAL PURPOSES . To the United Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of England . The Board begs to report that it has received from Messrs . Spiers and Pond ( Limited ) , an application for the renewal of the lease of Freemasons' Tavern , which will expire Michaelmas , 1905 .
The lessees would be willing to expend a sum of between twenty and thirty thousand pounds in alterations and improvements in order to bring the accommodation thoroughly up to modern requirements , in accordance with plans which have been fully considered bv the Grand Superintendent of Works .
In order to enable the Board to advise Grand Lodge as to the best mode of dealing with the proposal , it has consulted an eminent firm of Surveyors of great experience in connection with Tavern property , and the Board hopes that at the next meeting of Grand Lodge it mav be in a position to offer for its consideration , a well considered scheme for dealing with the matter .
In acknowledging the following presentations , the Board takes the opportunity to report that the capacious and handsome room for the reception of the Library and Curiosities belonging to Grand Lodge , is now completed , and the Board will be most happy to receive any additions thereto , which the generosity of members of the Craft may place at its disposal .

C ., Grand Registrar : " That Rule 87 , Book of Constitutions , be altered by inserting after the words ' Nor can he confer on any Brother the rank of a Past Provincial or District Grand Officer , ' the words 'Unless specially empowered to do so by the Grand Master on an important commemorative occasion . '"
