The ¦ Officers of tho Lodge were next toasted . The W . M . felt all would aoreo that ho would owe much during his year of Mastership to the Officers . He re-retted that circumstances prevented the attendance of the Senior Warden and somo other of the Officers of tho Lodge , but he felt sure he

could rely on their supporting him in the well ruling of it to the best of their ability . There was ono Officer he already owed much to—their Bro . Secretary , and to him he should depute the response to the toast . He had ' been struck by Brother Matthews's earnest attention to all Masonio business , and felt that in following any suggestions of his one could not do

wrong . Bro . Matthews tendered thanks on behalf of the Officers . He joined in tho regret that the Senior Warden was away , on duty in America ; while the Junior Warden was engaged elsewhere , and others were likewise prevented from attending .

The Tyler ' s toast concluded the proceedings , the very enjoyable evening being brought to an especially early termination , necessary in view of the professional duties of many of tho company requiring their attention . The Musical entertainment was particularly good—as is usually the case at this Lodge—tho ventriloquial performance of Bro . John Le Hay with his two dolls being simply marvellous . o o o
