MASONIC CENTENARY BAZAAR .

ONE of the most interesting features of the Masonio Bazaar will be the autograph portrait gallery whioh is being formed , in connection with Lodge 25 , by a member of tho Ladies' Committee . This lady has received over 150 photographs , signed and presented by the illustrious personages whom they represent . She has received with many of them charming letters , which will be

exhibited with the portraits at tho bazaar . H . R . H . the Dnke of Cambridge presented a full-length portrait of himsolf in uniform , as Commanderin-Chief of the British Army . H . R . H . Princess Henry of Battonberg , the Duke and H . R . H . the Duchess of Fife , H . R . H . Prince George of Wales , Prince and Princess Edward of Saxe-Weimar , His Excellency

fche Lord Lieutenant and the Countess of Zetland , the Duke and Duchess of Abercorn , Earl and Countess of Aberdeen , Marquis and Marchioness of Headfort , Marquis and Marchioness of Ormonde , Lord and Lady Carew , Lord and Lady O'Neill , the Duke of Argyll , the Earl of Haddington Grand Master of Freemasons in Scotland ;

Earl and Countess Desart are contributors to this interesting gallery . Lord and Lady Iveagh kindly sent portraits from Cannes , while the Marquis and Marchioness of Dufferiu and Ava forwarded theirs from Rome . Two beautifully-finished cabinet portraits and two autographs of the late Rig ht Hon . W . E . Foster were most kindly presented by Mrs . Forster . Art and literature are not unrepresented ,

for portraits have been received from Mrs . Humphrey Ward , Mr . Jerome K . Jerome , Mr . VV . J . Stead , Mr . Hawley Smart , Mr . Clement Scott , Mr . John Tenniel ( Punch ) , Mr . Alma Tadema , R . A ., Mr . Plunkett Green , Miss Fortescne , Mr . Leslie Grotty , Mr . Osmond Tearle , Mr . Edward Terry , and others too numerous to mention . There is a special section for Irish talent , whioh will be a most representative one .

THE THEATRES , & c .

Toole ' s . —After a long absence from the metropolis , during which he has undergone " an extensive and peculiar" experience , our facetious Bro . J . L . Toole is again appearing at his own little theatre , to the delight of his old and young patrons . His return is the more enjoyable because he brings with him a new play by Mr . J . M . Barrie , entitled " Walker , London , " though it is a pity the first selected title ,

" The Houseboat , " could not have been retained , as it is on one of those delightful river craft that the scene takes place . The present title is the registered postal address of Jasper Phipps , a gentleman of the hair-dressing profession , who , being engaged to be married , determines to have " a little fling " before he ventures into matrimony . Chance favours him in allowing him to render assistance to a young

lady , Miss Bell Golightly , who fell iuto two feet of water from a punt , and this is magnified into a gallant rescue . He subsequently passes himself off as a distinguished African traveller , though ho finds considerable difficulty in sustaining the character , and subsequently becomes engaged both to Miss Golightly and her friend Nanny O'Brien . His sweetheart is however on his track , and scon puts au

end to his little fling , when his exposure is complete . What fun Mr . Toole makes out of all this may be readily imagined , and he is ably assisted by Miss Eliza Johnstouo as Sarah , Miss Irene Vnnbrugh as Bell Golightly , Miss Ansell as Nanny , Mr . Seymour Hicks , Mr . Cecil Ramsay , and Mr . Lowrie . The sceno of the houseboat ia capitally arranged and contrived , aud the piece will prove a certain attraction for a long time to como .

New Olympic—On Monday evening next , 4 th April , Miss Grace Hawthorne ( who has entiroly recovered from her recent lerious illness ) will re-appear at this Theatre in her original creation as tbe Empress in a revival of Sardou ' s spectacular drama , ' Theodora , " which is announced for a ruu of four weeks only , at the end of whioh time Mr . VV . W . Kelly ' s lease of this Theatre will

expire . The company engaged to support Miss Hawthorne is an unusually strong one , and includes snch well-known favourites as Miss Ada Neilson , Miss Lesley Bell , Messrs . Julios Knight , Bassett Roe , Chas . Lander , Arthur Estcourt , Harcourt Beatty , VV . Brunton ] un ., & c , and the scenic appointments , costumes , jewels , armour , & c , will be on a scale of unusual magnificence .

Haymarket . —The success that has attended Mr . Becrbohm lreeas Hamlet has been well merited , and judging from tho crowded audiences the management will be able to run tho tragedy for somo time to come . Mr . Tree ' s Hamlet is , to our mind , one of the finest

performances wo havo seen , and althongh there are points tbat some people defer to , it cannot bo denied that tbo actor has scored a brilliant success . The support accorded Mr . Tree by his compauy is urst rate , all work with a will , and show that care so essential to a Shakespearian revival .
