QN Monday , 7 th ult ., there was a large attendance at the Free-A' masons' Hall , College-street , Whitehaven , to witness the Preietitaliioii of a gold hunting lever watch to Bro . John Barr I -G . S . W ., in commemoration of the completion of hia twenty-fifth year as Past Master . The presentation was mado on behalf " of the

sabscnbere by Bro . Broadbent W . M . Provincial Grand Steward . In ord "I !" ° feelin S response , Bro . Barr mentioned that he had - niy been abstnt twice from tho Lodge meetings during the past quarter of a century . r 1

' I OLD GLOBE LODGE , No . 200 . ^ J- A '" Btallation banquet , which was postponed on account of the ' ri Wsdn 5 ° fche Dake of Clarence and Avondale , took place on I "unesday , 16 th ult ., at tho lloyal Hotel , Scarborough . Bro . Francis

Goodriok W . M . presided , and was supported by about eighty of tha brethren . After the nsnal Loyal and Masonio toasts had been honoured , Bro . Goodriok referred to the fact that Bro . Hartmann waa about to leave the town , to enter upon a larger sphere of work in the metropolis . During the six' years he had resided in Scarborough he bad proved a constant friend and good citizen , and they could not

let him leave their midst without showing him some token of their regard . They regretted very much the severance , and could only hope that their esteemed friend would benefit . On behalf of the brethren the W . M . then presented to Bro . Hartmann a magnificent piece of silver , Queen Ann Pattern , consisting of a jag , with lamp and stand . The inscription was as follows : —Presented to A . G . G .

Hartmann , by his Masonio brethren , as a token of their regard upon hia leaving Scarborough , 16 th March 1892 . " The recipient returned his warmest thanks , and referred to the very many acts of kindness tbat had been done bim by the Masons of t"he town . Bro . Hartmann , who has managed the Royal Hotel at Scarborough for six years , is going to take the management of Longs ' , in Old Bond-street , London . The plate was supplied by Messrs . Bright and Sons .

GUTS LODGE , No . 395 . ON the 7 th ult ., at the monthly meeting , bald at the Masonia Rooms , Willes Road , Leamington , a vory handsomely . worked banner was presented to this Lodge by Bro . Frank Glover I . P . M The design consisted of the borough arms , surrounded by Masonio emblems . The needlework was principally by the hand of Miss Kate Glover , and tha design by Mr . Brackett , of the Parade . Hearty votes of thanks were accorded to Bro . Frank and Miss Kate Glover for this valuable addition to the Lodge .

BROUGHT ? CASTLE LODGE , No . 486 . THE sixteenth annnal assembly in connection with this Lodge was held in the Volunteer Hall , Broughton Ferry , on the llth nit ., There was a large attendance of tbe brethren in their Masonio costume and of their lady ( friends . To the tune of the " Merry Masons " the grand march was started between nine and ten o ' clock ,

Right Worshipful Master William Leslie and Miss Taylor leading off . Brother Thomas Lowson officiated as Master of Ceremonies to the satisfaction of all present , and music was supplied by a quadrille band under the leadership of Brother Peter Norrie . At intervals between tbe dances songs were sung .

Simm submitted his statement of accounts for the year , which showed a balance to the credit of the Lodge of £ 127 , after which the retiring W . M . was preaented with a P . M . ' s jewel on behalf of the Lodgo in recognition of

his valuable services in the chair dnring tho year , and afterwards with a vory valuable gold ring , suitably inscribed , and subscribed for individually by the members in hearty appreciation of the manner in which Bvo . Mooro had discharged the duties of hia offico whilst presiding over the Masonic work of the brethren in the course of the year . Subsequently an adjournment was made to the music hall ,

where tho brethreu , to the number of over 100 , sat down to au excellent banquet provided by Bro . Baker , at which the usual Loyal nnd Masonic toasts were proposed and responded to . A capital musical programme was rendered by Bros . Parry , Baker , Jacksou , Merry , Proud man , Mason , Cooper , and the Combermere Gleo Party , Bro . Cooper being a highly capable accompanist on tho pianoforte .
