BRAMSTON BEACH LODGE , No . 2101 . THE installation meeting was held on Thursday , 23 rd ult ., at the Masonic Hall , Godalming , when Bro . H . G . Herbert was installed as W . M . by Bro . A . Gibbs P . G . A . D . C . There was a large muster of Brethren and visitors , the latter including Bro . R . F . Gould P . G . D . and Bro . O . T . Tyler Prov . G . S .

" ' After the installation about forty sat down to a splendid banquet , prepared in capital style by Bro . J . J . Taylor . The usual toasts were honoured , and the enjoyment of the evening was much added to by an excellent musical programme , arranged by Bro . 0 . Haig-Brown .

ST . CLEMENT LODGE , No . 2442 . AT the meeting on Saturday , llth ult . j the W . M . Bro . H . Burrow presiding , four initiates attended , the ceremony being performed in an able manner by the W . M . One joining member and one candidate for initiation were balloted for . ¦ A- banquet followed , and a musical evening was afterwards spent , Bro . W . H . Stevenson being the accompanist .

BRADSTOW LODGE , No . 2448 . THE annual installation festival of this Lodge took p lace on the 22 nd ult ., at the Masonic Hall , Broadstairs , with remarkable success , when Bro . John T . May , J . P ., a P . M . of the Royal Navy Lodge , No . 429 , at Ramsgate , and Secretary of the Bradstow Lodge , was inducted into the Chair . Bro . Edgar H . White P . M . P . P . A . G . S . of Kent performed the ceremony in an altogether faultless manner , which elicited the hearty applause of the assembled Brethren .

The W . M . invested the following Officers : —Bros . Rev . R . A . Fawssett , M . A ., Prov . G . A . C . I . P . M . and Chaplain , Frank Brightman , F . R . G . S ., S . W ., N . P . Upon the conclusion of the ceremony the Brethren adjourned to the Railway Hotel , where an excellent banquet was served and thoroughly enjoyed . The usual Loyal and Masonic toasts were given , and a capital programme of songs and sketches was carried out by Bros . R . Dennant and L . Field , assisted by Messrs . John Warren and James Avon , who were candidates for

initiation at an emergency meeting of the Lodge held on Friday , tho 24 th ult . Among the Visitors present were Bros . James L . Hume W . M . 12 T , W . F . Ferridge W . M . 429 , George Edgar W . Bro . J . T . May , the new Worshipful Master , was initiated in the Royal Navy Lodge , in 1884 , and was installed as its W . M . in 1889 . He was elected its Treasurer in 1890 , and still holds that office . He was a founder of the Bradstow Lodge , No . 2448 , in 1892 , and was elected as the first W . M ., but gave over the collar to Bro . P . M . Blackburn , who unfortunately lost his hand by an accident during his year of office as W . M . of the Royal Navy Lodge , No . 429 .

ROBERT BURNS LODGE , No . 25 . rjlHIS well-known Lodge of Instruction which , under the Preceptorsbip of JL , Bro . E . C . Mulvey Grand Pursuivant , has gained a high reputation for its excellent working , re-opened for the first time this season on Tuesday , at 8 o'clock , at the Frascati Restaurant , Oxford Street , W ., when several wellknown Past Masters and other Brethren were present .

The chair was occupied by the W . M . of the Mother Lodge Bro . H . L . Davis , who was ably assisted by the following Officers : —Bros . W . Baddeley S . W ., J . Jacobs J . W ., E . C . Mulvey P . M . G . Purs . Preceptor , F . Mart P . M . Deputy Preceptor , T . Casely P . M . Sec , J . M . Sillitoe Assistant Sec , A . Pennington S . D ., W . Eardley J . D ., J . Grose I . G ., 0 . Lee Organist , W . Proctor

1 The Lodge was opened in due form and the yf . M .. intimated his intention of working the first degree , for which Bro . M . Fleming offered himself as candidate . The ceremony was rehearsed in a very impressive manner . The Lodge was called off and on . Resuming the working Bro . H . Vroom and

Bro . Essien answered the questions leading to the second degree ; the Lodge was opened up , and the W . M . informed the Brethren his intention of working the third ceremony , for which Bro . W . E . Shales offered himself a candidate . He was examined and entrusted , the Lodge was further advanced , and the ceremony of raising was rehearsed . '

The W . M . resumed the Lodge to the first degree , when Bro . Vroom , Essien , G . Lee , L . Abrahams , Dr . E . Groot and A . Mendelsshon jun ., were elected members , which compliment was duly acknowledged by those Brethren . Bro . Mulvey proposed that the very best thanks be offered to the Officers of the Mother Lodge , to which the W . M . and the Officers suitably responded . After a few more formalities the Lodge was closed .

The Lodge of Instruction meets every Tuesday , at 8 o clock sharp . We can say with confidence that Bro . E . C . Mulvey Grand Pursuivant is an excellent Preceptor , and pays the greatest attention to every Brother alike .

ROYAL ALFRED LODGE , No . 780 . ON Thursday a meeting was held at Bro . W . T . Purkiss ' s , Star and Garter Hotel , Kew Bridge . Being Preceptor ' s night , and the perfect capabilities of Bro . Williams Preceptor being so well known a very large attendance assembled to witness the working , which in every way gave the greatest satisfaction . Bro . M ., on resuming the chair , put the questions to the Brethren for the first section of the lecture , and these were answered in a creditable manner .

The W . M . had very much pleasure in proposing Bro . W . W . Williams P . M . 834 as a member , and be having been elected made suitable response . Bro . J . W . Ridley will occupy the chair next Thursday , and will , we hope , be well supported by his Masonic Brethren .

TERRIERS LODGE , No . 2184 . ON Wednesday , at 3 p . m ., a very good meeting took place at the Sir Sydney Smith Tavern , Chester Street , Kennington , which house is under the able management of Mr . G . Eighteen . There were present Bros . B . Cohen W . M ., Frederick Holden Treasurer

The Lodge was opened in due form , and advanced to the second and third degrees . Bro . Wise , with the excellent assistance of the Preceptor , worked the first section of the lecture . The W . M . resumed the Lodge to the first degree , and the ceremony of initiation was rehearsed in a most impressive manner , Bro . Mendoza being the candidate . By desire of the W . M . Bro . T . Holland gave the charge , which was delivered in an admirable manner .

The following Brethren were proposed by Brother F . Holden as members : Bros . Samuel Levey 1178 , W . Salter 1420 and 1772 , F . Higham 1012 and 1772 , E . De Vere I . P . M . 1772 , Frank Mendoza 571 , T . Wildes 1475 , H . Jee 333 , and J . Tennyson 1773 . The ballot being taken for these

Brethren was unanimous iu their favour . Bro . Mendoza being the only candidate present acknowledged the compliment . A hearty vote of thanks was recorded to Bro . Holden S . W ., for proposing these newly elected members . Bro . Holden , in reply , said it was his greatest ambition to make the Lodge of Instruction prosperous .

It was proposed by Bro . Darch , and seconded by Bro . Smith , that a hearty vote of thanks be recorded on the minutes for the excellent working of the W . M ., on his occupying the chair for the first time , to which the W . M . suitably responded . Bro . Darch informed the W . M . and Brethren that the anniversary of the Lodge would take place on 19 th November , and that he should like to

celebrate that event with a banquet , to which the W . M . and Brethren unanimously agreed . The date will be fixed later on , so as to meet the convenience of the professional Brethren . Tho following were elected to act on the Committee , Bros . Darch , Sinclair , Holden , Cecil Merrie , T . Holland , and 0 . H . Randall . After a few more Masonic transactions the Lodge was closed .

Bro . F . Holden Treasurer will preside * as W . M . next Wednesday , when tho Brethren may expect another Masonic treat .

HUGH OWEN LODGE , No . 2593 . AT the Frascati , Oxford Street , ou Friday , 24 th ult ., Bro . Marks W . M ., Ramsbottom S . W ., Neavis J . W ., Cooper S . D ., Ball J . D ., Read I . G ., Shelton W . M . acting Preceptor , Kobelt acting Secretary , Ridgway , Barnett . The ceremony of initiation was rehearsed , Bro . Ridgway candidate . The W . M . relinquished the chair in favour of Bro . Shelton , who rehearsed the ceremony of Installation . The W . M . resumed thc chair , and rehearsed the ceremony of passing , Bro . A hearty vote of thanks having been accorded to Bros . Marks and Shelton for the able manner of their working , and all Masonic business be ing ended , the Lodge was closed .

The Lodge was opened to the third degree , when the ceremony of raising was rehearsed , Bro . Williams as candidate . The Lodge was closed down to the first degree . Next week being Officers' night the S . W . Bro . Thomas was elected for the following meeting , Officers in rotation .

TERRIERS LODGE , No . 2184 . ON Wednesday , at 3 p . m ., a very good meeting took place at the Sir Sydney Smith Tavern , Chester Street , Kennington , which house is under the able management of Mr . G . Eighteen . There were present Bros . B . Cohen W . M ., Frederick Holden Treasurer

G ., F . Mendoza , C . H . Randall , C . Castle , Jesse Burton , T . Holland , W . Smith W . M . 72 , Cecil Merrie , 3 . Wynman , and others .

The Lodge was opened in due form , and advanced to the second and third degrees . Bro . Wise , with the excellent assistance of the Preceptor , worked the first section of the lecture . The W . M . resumed the Lodge to the first degree , and the ceremony of initiation was rehearsed in a most impressive manner , Bro . Mendoza being the candidate . By desire of the W . M . Bro . T . Holland gave the charge , which was delivered in an admirable manner .

The following Brethren were proposed by Brother F . Holden as members : Bros . Samuel Levey 1178 , W . Salter 1420 and 1772 , F . Higham 1012 and 1772 , E . De Vere I . P . M . 1772 , Frank Mendoza 571 , T . Wildes 1475 , H . Jee 333 , and J . Tennyson 1773 . The ballot being taken for these

Brethren was unanimous iu their favour . Bro . Mendoza being the only candidate present acknowledged the compliment . A hearty vote of thanks was recorded to Bro . Holden S . W ., for proposing these newly elected members . Bro . Holden , in reply , said it was his greatest ambition to make the Lodge of Instruction prosperous .

It was proposed by Bro . Darch , and seconded by Bro . Smith , that a hearty vote of thanks be recorded on the minutes for the excellent working of the W . M ., on his occupying the chair for the first time , to which the W . M . suitably responded . Bro . Darch informed the W . M . and Brethren that the anniversary of the Lodge would take place on 19 th November , and that he should like to

celebrate that event with a banquet , to which the W . M . and Brethren unanimously agreed . The date will be fixed later on , so as to meet the convenience of the professional Brethren . Tho following were elected to act on the Committee , Bros . Darch , Sinclair , Holden , Cecil Merrie , T . Holland , and 0 . H . Randall . After a few more Masonic transactions the Lodge was closed .

Bro . F . Holden Treasurer will preside * as W . M . next Wednesday , when tho Brethren may expect another Masonic treat .

HUGH OWEN LODGE , No . 2593 . AT the Frascati , Oxford Street , ou Friday , 24 th ult ., Bro . Marks W . M ., Ramsbottom S . W ., Neavis J . W ., Cooper S . D ., Ball J . D ., Read I . G ., Shelton W . M . acting Preceptor , Kobelt acting Secretary , Ridgway , Barnett . The ceremony of initiation was rehearsed , Bro . Ridgway candidate . The W . M . relinquished the chair in favour of Bro . Shelton , who rehearsed the ceremony of Installation . The W . M . resumed thc chair , and rehearsed the ceremony of passing , Bro . Barnett acting as the candidate .

A hearty vote of thanks having been accorded to Bros . Marks and Shelton for the able manner of their working , and all Masonic business be ing ended , the Lodge was closed .
