" ' After the installation about forty sat down to a splendid banquet , prepared in capital style by Bro . J . J . Taylor . The usual toasts were honoured , and the enjoyment of the evening was much added to by an excellent musical programme , arranged by Bro . 0 . Haig-Brown .
ST . CLEMENT LODGE , No . 2442 . AT the meeting on Saturday , llth ult . j the W . M . Bro . H . Burrow presiding , four initiates attended , the ceremony being performed in an able manner by the W . M . One joining member and one candidate for initiation were balloted for . ¦ A- banquet followed , and a musical evening was afterwards spent , Bro . W . H . Stevenson being the accompanist .
BRADSTOW LODGE , No . 2448 . THE annual installation festival of this Lodge took p lace on the 22 nd ult ., at the Masonic Hall , Broadstairs , with remarkable success , when Bro . John T . May , J . P ., a P . M . of the Royal Navy Lodge , No . 429 , at Ramsgate , and Secretary of the Bradstow Lodge , was inducted into the Chair . Bro . Edgar H . White P . M . P . P . A . G . S . of Kent performed the ceremony in an altogether faultless manner , which elicited the hearty applause of the assembled Brethren .

Upon the conclusion of the ceremony the Brethren adjourned to the Railway Hotel , where an excellent banquet was served and thoroughly enjoyed . John Warren and James Avon , who were candidates for

Bro . J . T . May , the new Worshipful Master , was initiated in the Royal Navy Lodge , in 1884 , and was installed as its W . M . in 1889 . He was elected its Treasurer in 1890 , and still holds that office . He was a founder of the Bradstow Lodge , No . 2448 , in 1892 , and was elected as the first W . M ., but gave over the collar to Bro . P . M . Blackburn , who unfortunately lost his hand by an accident during his year of office as W . M . of the Royal Navy Lodge , No . 429 .

Mulvey Grand Pursuivant , has gained a high reputation for its excellent working , re-opened for the first time this season on Tuesday , at 8 o'clock , at the Frascati Restaurant , Oxford Street , W ., when several wellknown Past Masters and other Brethren were present .

Bro . Essien answered the questions leading to the second degree ; the Lodge was opened up , and the W . M . informed the Brethren his intention of working the third ceremony , for which Bro . W . E . Shales offered himself a candidate . He was examined and entrusted , the Lodge was further advanced , and the ceremony of raising was rehearsed . '
The W . M . resumed the Lodge to the first degree , when Bro . Vroom , Essien , G . Lee , L . Abrahams , Dr . E . Groot and A . Mendelsshon jun ., were elected members , which compliment was duly acknowledged by those Brethren . Bro . Mulvey proposed that the very best thanks be offered to the Officers of the Mother Lodge , to which the W . M . and the Officers suitably responded . After a few more formalities the Lodge was closed .

W ., for proposing these newly elected members . Bro . Holden , in reply , said it was his greatest ambition to make the Lodge of Instruction prosperous .
It was proposed by Bro . Darch , and seconded by Bro . Smith , that a hearty vote of thanks be recorded on the minutes for the excellent working of the W . M ., on his occupying the chair for the first time , to which the W . M . suitably responded . Bro . Darch informed the W . M . and Brethren that the anniversary of the Lodge would take place on 19 th November , and that he should like to
celebrate that event with a banquet , to which the W . M . and Brethren unanimously agreed . The date will be fixed later on , so as to meet the convenience of the professional Brethren . Tho following were elected to act on the Committee , Bros . Darch , Sinclair , Holden , Cecil Merrie , T . Holland , and 0 . H . Randall . After a few more Masonic transactions the Lodge was closed .

It was proposed by Bro . Darch , and seconded by Bro . Smith , that a hearty vote of thanks be recorded on the minutes for the excellent working of the W . M ., on his occupying the chair for the first time , to which the W . M . suitably responded . Bro . Darch informed the W . M . and Brethren that the anniversary of the Lodge would take place on 19 th November , and that he should like to
celebrate that event with a banquet , to which the W . M . and Brethren unanimously agreed . The date will be fixed later on , so as to meet the convenience of the professional Brethren . Tho following were elected to act on the Committee , Bros . Darch , Sinclair , Holden , Cecil Merrie , T . Holland , and 0 . H . Randall . After a few more Masonic transactions the Lodge was closed .
Bro . F . Holden Treasurer will preside * as W . M . next Wednesday , when tho Brethren may expect another Masonic treat .

M . relinquished the chair in favour of Bro . Shelton , who rehearsed the ceremony of Installation . The W . M . resumed thc chair , and rehearsed the ceremony of passing , Bro . Barnett acting as the candidate .
A hearty vote of thanks having been accorded to Bros . Marks and Shelton for the able manner of their working , and all Masonic business be ing ended , the Lodge was closed .
