To the Supreme Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of England . Tho Committee of General Purposes bog to report that thoy havo examined tho accounts from tho 17 th July 1889 , to the 15 th of October 1889 , both inclusive , which thoy find to be as follows : — £ s d I £ s d

which balances aro in tho Bank of England , Western Branch . The Committee havo also to report that they have received a Memorial from tho Mount Moriah Chapter , No . 9 , meeting at the Albion Tavern , London , praying to be detached from the Albion

Lodge , No . 9 , and to bo attached to the Middlesex Lodgo , No . 143 , London , to whioh nil their present membera belong . Both Lodges having given their consent , the Committee recommend that the prayer of the Memorial bo granted .

The Committee have likewise to report that they have received a Memorial from tho Grand Chapter of Royal Aroh Masons of Victoria , Australia , reporting tltat they have been regnlarly established , in March 1889 , and asking recognition by the Grand Chapter of England , and that fraternal communication may bo established between tho two Grand Chapter ? .

Tho Committee recommended that inasmuch as the Grand Lodgo of Victoria has been duly acknowledged by the Grand Lodgo of England , the Grand Chapter of Victoria be also recognised . The Committee havo further to report that they havo received tho following Petitions for now Chapters : —

1 st . From Compauirns Samuel Valentine as / ., Lewis Walter Harvey as H ., Willi mi Henry Holroyd as J ., and seven others for a Chapter to be attached to the Albion Lodge , No . 9 , to be called " The Albion Chapter , " and to meet at tho Ship and Turtle Tavern ,

Leadenhall Street , in the City of London , shonld the prayer of the Memorial from the Mount Moriah Chapter being detached from the Albion Lodge , No . 9 , and attached to the Middlesex Lodge , No . 143 , London , bo grantee .

2 nd . From Companions Thomas Thornton Davis as Z , John Mackraill as H ., William Woodall as J ., and six others for a Chapter to be attached to the Wilberforce Lodge , No . 2134 , Hull , to be called " The Wilberforce Chapter , " and to meet at the Masonic Hall , Hull , Yorkshire , ( North and East Division . )

3 rd . From Companions lorn Nnwsum Turner as Z ., Edgar Home as H ., Thomas Edward Yeomar . s as J ., and seven others for a Chapter to be attached to the Mundy Grove Lodge , No . 506 , Shipley Gate , to be called "Tho Mundy Grove Chapter , " and to meet at the Boat Inn , Shipley Gate , Derbyshire .

4 th . From Companions Ebenezer Charles Mulvey as Z ., Henry Holmes as H ., Nathaniel Goodchild as J ., and eix others for a Chapter to be attached to the Cyclist Lodge , No . 2246 , East Molesey , to bo called "The Cyclist Chapter , " and to meet at the Castle Hotel , East Molesey , in the County of Surrey .

These Petitions boing in all respects regular , the Committee recommend that the prayers therefore be respectively granted , subject to tho Mount Moriah Chapter being detached from the Albion Lodge , No . 9 .

The Committee havo also received a Petition from the Principals and Members of the Abbey Chapter , No . 624 , Burton on Trent , Staffordshire , praying for a Charter of Confirmation , the original being lost ; ancl they recommend that a Charter of Confirmation for this Chapter be granted .

The Committee havo received a Memorial , with Copy of Minutes , on the removal of thu tho following Chapter : — The Moravian Chapter , No . 387 , for permission to remove from the Masonic Hall , Shipley , to the Saltaire Institute , Shipley , York Bhiro ( W . D . )

Tho Committee being satisfied of the reasonableness of this request , recommeid th . t tho removal of the above named Chapter bo sanctioned .

— . u . Re ROYAL MASONIC INSTITUTION FOR BOYS . To the Editor of the FREEMASON ' S CXIRONH'LE . Sin , —I shall bo glad to know under what statute or other powers it is lawful to grant Bro . Binckes a pension of £ 350 for life , and f utther , whether it was obligatory that all entitled to voto should receive a notice of the meeting on the 25 th inst . I may mention that

I know several brethren who received an official notice , whereas others , myself included , did not . Iu my opir . ion tho granting of a pension to Bro . Binckes was a great mistake , and if it could by legal means bo upset the necessary steps should bo taken . Yours faithfully ,

Bro . Greey has been appointed Secretary to the Lily Lodge of Instruction , at the Greyhound Hotel , Richmond , in place of Bro . Austin , who , after having served , in the office for seven years has been promoted to the dignity of Deputy Preceptor .

We beg to remind our readers that the Dramatic performance in aid of the Benevolent and Grant Fnnd of the " Old Masonians , " will tako place at the St . George ' s

Hull , Langham Place , this ( Saturday ) evening . A very interesting gathering is anticipated , many friends of our " Old Boys " having signified their intention to be present . Tho performance will commence at 7 * 30 .

BRO . BOWRON THE remains of the late Bro . Bowron , of tho Doric Lodge , No . 933 , were interred on Monday , the 14 th ult ., at Bow Cemetery . In addition to the relatives thero were present a nnmber of members of the Craft , including tho W . M . of the Doric Lodge , Bro . J . Hall Brown , and a number of members of that Lode-e and other brethren . Amongst

thoso who paid this last tribute to the memory of the venerable brother , who , dying in his 82 nd year , commanded the respect of ali whom he met , were Bros . T . J , Barnes , W . Wainwright , R . Ayton , R . Tucker , F . Johnson , 0 . J .

Dance , J . West , A . Calver , W . Caslake , J . Pick , W . Smith , T . G . Scott , J . T . Johnson , F . Newport , Myers , Frank Dale , Hugh Cotter , J . J . Berry , H . Clarke , and H . West .
