TREGULLOW LODGE , No . 1006 . AT their monthly meeting on Tuesday , 17 th ult ., at St . Day , the Brethren unanimously elected Bro . William R . Cannon as W . M . for the ensuing year , and re-elected Bro . Geo . Timmins P . M . P . P . G . D . Treasurer , and Bro . John Leverton Tyler .

EXCELSIOR LODGE , No . 1042 . THE annual installation meeting was held on Thursday , 19 th ult ., at the Masonic Hall , Great George Street , Leeds , when a large and representative gathering of Brethren assembled to witness the installation as Worshipful Master of Bro . R . J . Smith S . W . The ceremony was performed

by Bro . Flockton P . M ., assisted by Bro . W . Bingham P . M . Prov . G . Pur ., and amongst the Brethren present were Bros . Henry Smith P . G . D . Eng . Deputy Prov . G . M ., W . F . Smithson P . G . D . Eng ., Canon Bullock P . G . Chap . Eng ., & c . Bro . W . Flockton was elected Provincial Charity Representative in the room of Bro . Cowbrough P . P . G . D ., who had resigned that position .

A Past Master ' s jewel was presented by the Lodge to Bro . H . Banks , on retiring from the chair , in recognition of his successful conduct of the Lodge during the past year , and as a token of the esteem of the Brethren . The festival of the Lodge was afterwards celebrated , when nearly ninety Brethren sat down to the banquet , which was followed by the customary Loyal and Craft toasts .

ANGLESEA LODGE , No . 1113 . THE annual installation took place on Monday , 16 th ult ., at Mcnai Bridge , Brother Frank Barlow being installed into the chair . The installing Officer was Bro . J . Lloyd Griffiths , Holyhead , P . M . P . G . D . Eng .

The banquet was served at the Victoria Hotel , under the excellent catering of Bro . R . G . Thomas , and the musical programme was furnished by a quartet party from Bangor Cathedral , under the condnctorship of Bro . T . Westlake-Morgan J . D .

CAREW LODGE , No . 1136 . THE annual meeting was held at the Masonic Hall , Torpoint , when Bro J . T . G . Greet was installed W . M .

ELIOT LODGE , No . 1164 . THE annual installation meeting took place on Thursday , 19 th ult ., at St . Germans , when Bro . W . Easton was installed by Brother John White

retiring W . M . After the installation the annual banquet was held at the Eliot Arms . The usual toasts were given , and some capital songs were rendered by the members and visitors .

SAVILE LODGE , No . 1231 . THE annual meeting took place on Thursday , Sth ult ., at the Masonic Rooms , Elland . Bro . J . Bairstow was installed by Bro . Dr . Hoyle .

STANLEY LODGE , No . 1325 . THE Christmas meeting of the Lodge was held at the Masonic Hall , Hope Street , Liverpool , on the 23 rd ult . The Worshipful Master Bro . J . Barrett presided , and there was a large attendance . The chief business was the initiation of Messrs . E . Murphy , J . Elliott , and F . Cargill , the ceremonies being impressively performed by the W . M .

Subsequently a banquet was served , the host being the Worshipful Master , who had generously defrayed the entire cost . After the removal of the cloth an excellent musical programme was gone through , among those who contributed songs , duets , and recitations being Brothers W . Hudson Organist , G . Grocott , O . Williams , G . J . Clough P . M ., Jones Fargher , J . E . Gill , F . Cargill , and others .

Opportunity was taken by P . M . Jarman , during an interval , to pay a well-deserved compliment to Bro . Barrett W . M . for the way in which he had discharged the duties of the chair during the six months he had held office .

It may be said that the first half of the present year of the Stanley Lodge has been most successful , no fewer than twelve candidates having been initiated , while there are four others still due . The Lodge has undoubtedly a prosperous future before it .

ANCHOR LODGE , No . 1337 . THE regular meeting was held at Northallerton , when Dr . John Stamford Walton P . M . was elected Worshipful Master for the ensuing year . The Lodge will celebrate its silver anniversary with Dr . Watson's installation .

BROWNRIGG LODGE OF UNITY , No . 1424 . THERE was a full attendance of Brethren at the King ' s Arms , Old Brompton , on Tuesday , 17 th ult ., on the occasion of the installation of Bro . George Alfred Burrell S . W . as Worshipful Master for the ensuing year , among those present being several eminent Provincial Officers of Kent , and a visiting Grand Officer from Cornwall .

The installation ceremony was ably carried out by Brother Stephen E . Morgan P . P . G . A . D . C . During the proceedings a valuable Past Master's jewel was presented to Bro . G . Munro , in acknowledgment of the excellent manner in which he had ruled over the Lodge during the past year .

At the subsequent annual banquet an excellent selection of music was performed by a portion of the Royal Engineer band .

WHARNCLIFFE LODGE , No . 1462 . THE annual installation was held at the Rose and Crown Hotel , Penistone , on Saturday , 28 th ult . There was a large attendance to witness the installation of Bro . Joseph Normansell , of Barnsley , by Bro . E . Billing ton .

NARBERTH LODGE , No . 2001 . ON Friday , 27 th ult ., Brother William Edward Jenkins was installed Worshipful Master in the presence of a goodly number of Brethren at Narberth . The usual banquet subsequently took place at the Angel Hotel .

BEAUMONT LODGE , No . 2035 . THE annual meeting was held at the Masonio Hall , Kirkburton , on Saturday , 21 st nit ., when Bro . tho Rev . T . M . Turnbull , B . A ., P . P . G . O . was installed W . M . for the ensuing year .

The installation ceremony was performed by Bro . Joe Kaye I . P . M ., m a most able manner , Brother Alderman W . H . Jessop P . M . P . P . G . D . West Yorkshire acting as D . C . with equal success . Bro . the Rev . R . Collins , M . A ., P . M . P . P . G . O . delivered the three charges . There was a large number of visiting Brethren present . At the conclusion of the business the Brethren sat down to an excellent banquet in the hall , when the usual Loyal and Masonic toasts were honoured .

FRIENDSHIP CHAPTER , No . 241 . THE election meeting was held at the Masonic Hall , Hope Street , Liverpool , on Monday , 23 rd ult ., when Comp . P . Blackburn was chosen as M . E . Z . for the year . Other bnsiness included the exaltation of Bros . W . Taylor 2514 and Richard Brown 241 .

CHAPTER OF RECTITUDE , No . 581 . THE annual meeting was held at the Mosley Hotel , Manchester , on the Sth ult . There was an attendance of about thirty members and visitors , many of them having obtained distinction in Royal Arch Masonry . The more important business oi the evening was that of Installing

Comps . James Hayes , H . B . Brown , and J . C . Wilson as First , Second , and Third Principals respectively , the ceremony being in the capable hands of Comp . James Dawson P . Z . P . P . 1 st . Assist . Soj . The usual festive board followed .

CLIFTON CHAPTER , No . 703 . ON Thursday , 19 th ult ., the members assembled at the Clifton Arms Hotel , Blackpool , when the Principals were installed : Comps . S . Hill Z ., S . Fisher H ., and T . Lofthouse J . A banquet was afterwards served , and the usual Loyal and Arch toasts submitted .

YARBOROUGH CHAPTER , No . 811 . THE annual installation meeting was held at the Pavilion , Brighton , on Friday , 13 th ult . Comp . H . Pearce was installed M . E . Z ., T . Wickham H ., and C . Baguley J . The customary banquet followed .

MARK MASONRY ,

BECTIVE LODGE , No . 452 . THE annual meeting was held at the Keswick Hotel , Keswick , on Tuesday , 17 th ult ., when a goodly number of Brethren assembled , both local and visiting , for the imposing ceremony of installation of Worshipful Master and appointment of Officers for the ensuing year . Bro . G . P . Abraham P . M . P . P . G . O . had been unanimously elected Worshipful Master , and was regularly installed .

The Becfcive Lodge is in a most flourishing state , and additions to membership are continually taking place . At the close of the Lodge the annual banquet took place , and a pleasant time was enjoyed by all .

The Liberty is one ot the most prominent and flourishing Lodges in America , and we may therefore take the sentiments contained in the message as representing the feelings of that most important body—the Freemasons of the United States .
