Bro . L . A . DaCosta next gave the Mother Lodge , including the W . M . and the Officers , which was replied to by the W . M . The W . M . then gave the Preceptor ; he regretted to say Bro . T . Cowell was absent through illness , but was sure all present hoped to see him among them again shortly . He called on Bro . L . A . DaCosta to respond .

In his reply that Brother said how sorry he was to miss Bro . T . Cowell on that very pleasant occasion . He urged on all the Brethren , especially the younger ones , to attend the Lodge of Instruction , for unless they did they would not gain preferment in their Mother Lod ^ e . He might say the Lodge of Instruction was the workshop of the Lodge , and they would always welcome those who wanted to learn the ritual , and give them all the . assistance they required .

The next toast was that of the Secretary Bro . D . McNish who , in reply , stated he had held the Office many years , and was glad to see such a good attendance . He hoped to see many of those present at the regular meetings , which were held every Tuesday , at the Citizen , at 8 o ' clock .

Metropolitan ( Victoria ) Lodge , No . 105 6 . G ., the special occasion being the working of the Fifteen Sections , an event which attracted a large assembly of Brethren .

It is an especial nleasure to us to be able to record that not one of the Section workers was absent , which it must be admitted is an unusual experience on such occasions , as so many causes arise to prevent the attendance of all the Brethren set down on the programme . Those present included Bros . H . Hill P . M . 1305 ( Preceptor of several Lod ges ) who acted as W . M ., J . Knight I P M

In their Lodge of Instruction they did not work the Fifteen Sections , but he should now stronglv advise the members to do so in future , and he felt sure if they would take his advice they would become better acquainted with the ritual of Freemasonry . On behalf of himself and the other Brethren he thanked the members for having elected them .

Bro . Weinel P . M ; . said the W . M . of the evening was an old member of the Lodge , and was already an honorary member ; He had heard his work fifteen years ago , and had enjoyed it then .
