a "IHE London and North-Western Eailway Company announce that commencing on Monday , 6 * . h July , Luncheon aui Dining Cars will be attached to the following trains between Loudon and Glasgow for the accommodation of 1 st class passengers . London ( Euston ) departure , 20 p . m . ; Glasgow Central , arrival , 110 p . m . ; Glasgow ( Central ) departure , 20 p . m . ; London ( Euston ) arrival ,

10 * 50 . Luncheon will be served on departure , and dinner en route ( about 6 ' 30 p . m . ) Edinburgh , Perth , and Aberdeen , passengers to and from the South , can make use of the saloons , changing at the most convenient junction . The saloons will also be available between Preston and Glasgow , for Liverpool and Manchester passengers to and from Scotland . The charge for luncheon will be 2 a 6 d each , and for dinner 3 s 6 d each .

The arrangements for the Royal visit to Birmingham on 21 st July are completed . On their arrival at New Street Station , the Prince and Princess of Wales will be met by the Mayor and Reception Committee , and escorted by a troop of cavalry to the Victoria Law Courts . Addresses

will be presented to their Royal Highnesses from the Town Council , by Mr . Stratford Dugdale , Q . C , M . P . ; on behalf of the Warwickshire Grand Lodge of Freemasons , by Lord Leigh ; and from the Birmingham legal profession , by Sir Thos . Martineau . Luncheon will be served at the Council House , and the Prince and Princess will return to London early in the afternoon .

We learn that Sir Hedworth Williamson , Bart ., has arranged for the annual convocation of Provincial Grand Chapter to be hold at Durham on Tuesday , the 14 th inst . The annual meeting of the Charities Committee of the Province will be held the same afternoon , prior to the meeting of the Chapter , which has been fixed for five o ' clock .

Among those who attended the Levee held by H . R . H . the Prince of Wales , on behalf of Her Majesty , last Saturday , were Bros . Campbell Clarke P . M . and Orlton Cooper S . W . of St . Michael ' s Lodge , No . 211 . Bro . Cooper , who holds a commission in the Royal Naval Reserve , was presented by Bro . Lord George Hamilton .

At the recent Festival of the Boys' School the Province of Derbyshire figured most creditably , sending 26 Stewards whoso lists showed the respectable total of £ 854 2 s Cd . The Derbyshire total has only been exceeded once before , viz ., at the Boys' School Festival of 1885 , when Lord Hartington acted as President , and a special effort was put forward to recognise in a suitable manner the presidency of the Provincial Grand Master . —Sheffield Independent .

The Brixton Lodge of Instruction , No . 1949 , have returned to their old "home" at the Prince Regent , Dulwich Koad , Herne Hill , S . E . A large and exceedingly well furnished , well ventilated , and comfortable room has been provided for the brethren , separated entirel
