A committee having been appointed to confer , there may thereafter be some report on tho subject . St . John ( 3 bis ) was tho first Lodge which wrought the Mark degree as a part of St . John ' s Masonry . They were
interdicted by tho P . G . L ., and an appeal having been made to tho Grand Lodge , St . John ( 3 bis ) proved that the Mark was the completing part of the second degree . Tho Mark thus came to be wrought in Lodge as well as Chapter , and an agreement was made between the Grand Lodge and Grand Chapter of Scotland that these Grand bodies " shall adopt the same ritual in conferring the degree .
