Richardson P . M . P . P . G . S . D ., the latter receiving very important assistance from Past Masters S . Whittaker , who presented the Working Tools of the various degrees ; G . H . Barnes , who

addressed the Wardens ; and P . Swift , who invested the following Officers for the ensuing year who were present , viz ., Bros . J . Lever S . W ., W . Jones J . W ., J . C . Brown Treasurer , J . M . Frost P . M . Secretary , R . Adshead S . D ., G . H . Scott J . D ., J . Greenup P . M . D . C , J . Chadderton I . G ., C . H . Griffiths , H , Crellin , E . E . Jones and J . G . Brother J . T . Moorhouse , the host , had provided an excellent banquet , to which the Brethren subsequently sat down , this being followed by Loyal and Masonic toasts of the usual description . The health of the Installing Master , proposed by Bro . Harrison W . M .,

was duly responded to by Bro . Richardson , who thanked the Brethren for the enthusiastic manner in which they had accepted the toast . He expressed a willingness to render any assistance in the future , but considered that the Past Masters who had helped him in the ceremony that day were entitled to an equal share of the honours .

Bro . H . B . Brown I . P . M . proposed the health of the Initiate , to which Bro . Davison replied , saying that he had been very much impressed by the ceremony through which he had passed . Bro . Brown also proposed the health of the newly-installed W . M ., saying that it would have been impossible to have found a better man for the position than Brother Harrison . He had filled various offices from Steward

upwards , and his duties in connection with each had been performed in a most satisfactoiy manner . From his own knowledge of their new Master , he could safely affirm that the Brethren would never regret their action in placing him in the principal chair . Bro . Harrison responded , saying that he would do his best to gain their appreciation . Before being appointed he had always had a sincere desire to

perform his duties well , and having now attained the position of Worshipful Master , he was doubly aware of the responsibilities which such a position entailed . That day he had for the first time seen the ceremony of Installation , and he might say that it had made a deep impression upon his mind . He thanked Bro . Richardson and the Past Masters who had assisted him in the performance of such a trying function .
