M . of the mother Lodge , when Lodge was opened in the second degree , and Bro . Loane was interrogated . In due course the W . M . rehearsed the ceremony of raising , Bro . Loane candidate . Bro . Barnes P . M ., in feeling terms , alluded to the sad loss sustained

by Bro . G . H . Stephens . It was unanimously resolved that a letter of condolence with Bro . Stephens , on the loss of his wife , be sent by the Lodge . Bro . Stewart was unanimously elected W . William Preston Lodge , No . 766 . —A meeting of tho members of this Lodge was held on Thursday evening , at the City Terminus Hotel , Cannon-street , under the presidency of the W . M . After the transaction of business , the brethren sat down to a sumptuous banqnet , and the usual Loyal and Craft toasts were daly honoured .

Lodge was opened in due form , and the minutes of last meeting were read and

confirmed . The ceremony of initiation was rehearsed , Bro . Catling candidate . Bro . Forss worked the first , second , third , and fourth sections of the lecture , assisted by the brethren . The Lodge waa opened in the second and third degrees , and regularly closed to first degree . Bro . Wardell was elected W . M . for the ensning week .

All Masonic business being ended , the Lodge was closed in due form , and adjourned . It is with deep regret that wo have to record the severe indisposition of Bro . Wallington P . M ., the esteemed Preceptor of this Lodge of Instruction . We hope that the G . A . O . T . D . will restore him to his usual health , and sanction his return to the field he has so energetically laboured in .

M . of the mother Lodge , when Lodge was opened in the second degree , and Bro . Loane was interrogated . In due course the W . M . rehearsed the ceremony of raising , Bro . Loane candidate . Bro . Barnes P . M ., in feeling terms , alluded to the sad loss sustained

by Bro . G . H . Stephens . It was unanimously resolved that a letter of condolence with Bro . Stephens , on the loss of his wife , be sent by the Lodge . Bro . Stewart was unanimously elected W . William Preston Lodge , No . 766 . —A meeting of tho members of this Lodge was held on Thursday evening , at the City Terminus Hotel , Cannon-street , under the presidency of the W . M . After the transaction of business , the brethren sat down to a sumptuous banqnet , and the usual Loyal and Craft toasts were daly honoured .

Lodge was opened in due form , and the minutes of last meeting were read and

confirmed . The ceremony of initiation was rehearsed , Bro . Catling candidate . Bro . Forss worked the first , second , third , and fourth sections of the lecture , assisted by the brethren . The Lodge waa opened in the second and third degrees , and regularly closed to first degree . Bro . Wardell was elected W . M . for the ensning week .

All Masonic business being ended , the Lodge was closed in due form , and adjourned . It is with deep regret that wo have to record the severe indisposition of Bro . Wallington P . M ., the esteemed Preceptor of this Lodge of Instruction . We hope that the G . A . O . T . D . will restore him to his usual health , and sanction his return to the field he has so energetically laboured in .
