The Quatuor Coronati Lodge.
THE QUATUOR CORONATI LODGE .
nnHE present Worshipful Master of this Lodge Brother JL Sydney T . Klein , whose latest work in Freemasonry we have just referred to , is very anxious that the Craft generally should help forward the great work carried on by the Lodge , and with this object in view he appeals to every Masonic student to become a subscriber to its Transactions .
The subscription is only ' ios 6 d per year , for which is given three large books , including valuable illustrations , and every Subscriber is welcomed at the regular Lodge meetings , as though he were a full member . Any member of an English Lodge is eligible , and to such who wish to join we
recommend to send their names and number of their Lodge to the Secretary Bro . G . W . Speth P . A . G . D . C , La Tuya , Edwards Road , Bromley , Kent . Bro . Klein ' s paper on " The Great Symbol" was published last year , but the volume can still be had at the price of 8 s . which includes all
the papers read before the Lodge during last year , and a full list of the 2 , 750 members of this great Society , which we believe we may justifiably describe as the most important combination of active workers ever associated together in the interests of Freemasonry . We hope to have many future opportunities of referring to its work .

ROYAL ARK MARINERS .
ON the 27 th ult ., an interesting ceremony took place at Sunderland , when a new Royal Ark Mariners Lodge , to be attached to the Union Lodge of Mark Master Masons , No . 124 , was consecrated at the Masonic Hall , Park Terrace . The Consecrating Officer was Bro . Thomas Purvis P . G . S . D . England Deputy Provincial Grand Master of

Brethren of the Mark Lodges in Sunderland and South Shields , through whose enthusiasm the new Royal Ark Mariners Lodge was to be formed . The satisfaction to the founders was shown b y the fact of such a large number that day having been admitted to the degree , so that they could
be present on the occasion . The Warrant for the new Lodge was read by the Provincial Grand Secretary Bro . John Heppell , which named the Founders and three first Principal Officers to be Bros . George Washington Bain W . C . N ., George Harlund S . J ., J . C Moor S . S .

GRAND LODGE OF SCOTLAND .
ITHHERE was an unusually large attendance of represent-J _ atives from all parts of Scotland at the Quarterly
meeting of Grand Lodge held in Edinburgh , on Thursday , the special circumstances being the election of Brethren to twenty-six vacancies in Grand Committee—a part of the organisation on which devolves much of the work of Grand Lodge .
Lord Saltoun M . W . Grand Master presided , and there was a full muster of other Office-bearers . Charters were granted for six new Lodges . It was reported that the funds
of Grand Lodge when audited at 25 th November amounted in all three branches to £ 71 , 629 17 s 2 d . With the balance of income in excess of expenditure for the last quarter the total funds to date amount to over £ 73 , 000 .
Bro . Dr . T . M'Menemy , of the Union and Crown Lodge , No . 103 ( S . C ) , recentl y paid a visit to one of the Scotch Lodges in the Hawaiian Islands , the Pacific No . 822 , Honolulu , and writing home of his visit expressed himself pleased and surprised at all that he saw . They have splendid
meeting accommodation , sharing the Masonic Temple with other two Lodges , which are , however , of the English Constitution . On being admitted after " due examination , " he found the Lodge under the control of a Bro . Phillips , who hails from St . Mungo . The business of the evening was the
third degree , and the ceremony was conducted from start to finish without a hitch—never had he seen the work so thoroughly done . The membership of the Lodge , though largely composed of Americans , includes natives of the Hawaiian Islands , English , Scotch , Canadians , & c . — " Glasgow Evening News . "
Bro . H . C Lonsdale Past Master of the Perseverance Lodge , No . 1743 , has presented the Lodge with a banner , in commemoration of the Tubilee year .
