rpiIE Annual Provincial Grand Lodge of Berks and Bucks Avas J- held at tho County Hall , Abingdon , on Thursday the 26 th nit ., and Avas largely attended by the members of the several Lodges in the Province , all but two being very fully represented . The London train calling at Reading conveyed the R . W . Provincial Grand Master Bro . Sir Daniel Gooch , Bart ., M . P ., and Chairman of the Great Western Railway Gompanv , to Didcot , Avhere a considerable muster of

brethren had assembled , and there a " special" wag provided for tho accommodation of the somewhat large party , enabling them to reach Abingdon in good time prior to the opening of Provincial Grand Lodge . Bro . K . J . Treudell P . M . of the Abbey Lodge at Abingdon , in tho most liberal manner received all comers as his guests , and placed his spacious dwelling and noble grounds at their disposal ,

entertaining them Avith a cold collation and means for refreshment prior to commencing labour . At the appointed hour the brethren assembled at the County Hall , over which the arms of the borough floated during the clay in honour of their presence . The Provincial Grand Lodge was there opened by the E . W . Prov . Grand Master , who was announced ancl accompanied in procession by the following
