HUMBER LODGE , No . 57 . ON Tuesday evening , i' -o 27 i ! i nit ., on tho fo tival of St . John , ( be brethren , according to ancient custom , assembled in large numbers to witness the solemn and saored ceremony of installing Bro . W . 0 . Bradley as Worshipfnl Master of the above Lodge fjr the ensuing year . The important duties were impressively carried out

by' Bro . George Wildon , aud a hota-ty vote of thanks was accorded to that worthy brother for his eminent services . The historical traditions of the Humber Lodge are well known throughout the country , and its Past Masters for nearly two centuries have occupied the highest civic positions ia the town . Bro . who has just vacated the ohair of K . S ., being now the Immediate Fast Master . century framed oil painting by Franck the Elder , of Antwerp , representing " The Riches of King Solomon ; " and also a splendid photogravure from the original , " The visit of the Queen of Sheba to King Solomon , " painted by E . J , Poynter , R . A ., now in the National Art Gallery , New Sonth Wales , Each picture , which was handsomely framed in rich gold , bore the following inscription : —

Da Pre proposed that the Lodge accept the pictures on the conditions named . Bro . H . London secoi . ded the resolution , whioh was carried unanimously . Bro . Frank Westcott , in moving a vote of

thanks to Dr . Lemon for his noble gifts , referred to his unflagging interest and zeal for the advancement of Freemasonry . Bro . Hocking seconded the resolution , and it was passed with acclamation . Bro . Lemon , in acknowledgment , explained that although he presented the St . John with tbe pictures his intention was that every Lodge meeting in the Temple should be benefitted thereby . Bro . Jos .

Jacobs , of Plymouth , formerly of " Soiut Ayle , " No . 95 , Anstrnther , Grand Lodge of Scotland , was unanimously elected a joining member of the Lodge , which was shortly afterwards closed . The brethren then adjourned to the refectory , where they sat down to the annnal banquet , whioh was served np under the direction of Bro . S . Harvey ,

the Steward of tho Club , and gave every satisfaction . The W . M . Bro . John Hicks presided . Tbe loyal toasts were duly submitted , and the W . M . then proposed the health of "Viscount Ebrington P . G . M . and the Officers of the Provincial Grand Lodgd of Devon . Bro . the ROT . Dr , Lumen , who replied , suggested that the Provincial Grand

Lodge Officers Past and Present should form a mess of their own . Bro . Frank Wes'cott gave in appropriate terms the Earl of Mount Edgcumbe P . G . M . and tho P . G . Lodge of Cornwall , whioh was cordially received . Bro . Dr . Lemon , in proposing the health of thn W . M ., referred to the respect and esteem in whioh he was htll by the brethren . Bro . John Hicks , who was loudly applauded on

rising , said ho felt proud of the position which he occup . ' ed ai W . M . of Lodge St . John , which had such a high reputation in Mascnio circles in the West . He was also proud of the fact that he was elected unanimously to the office by the brethren of the Lodgo , and said his endeavour would be during his yrarof office to win the approbation of the brethren . Bro . J . R . Lord referred in enlogiatio

terms to the excellent way in which Bro . Colling had discharged the duties of his office during the past year . Bro . Colling had endeavoured to carry out the fundamental princip ' os of Freemasonry •'Brotherly love , relief , and trntb , " and "To do to others as yea would wish they would do unto you . " He then presented Bro . Colling with a handsome P . M . ' s jewel bearing the following inscription : —

Bro . Colling responded in suitable terms , and advised all yonng Masons to study the gronnd work and teachings of Free , masonry , which were to clothe the naked , feed the hungry , and educate the ignorant . Bio . Odam submitted the toast of the Treasurer ( Bro . R . Pengelly ) and Secretary ( Bro . J . B . Gover ) , which was heartily drank . Bro . Pengelly having replied , Bro . Gover acknow .

lodged the kindness he invariably received from tbe brethren . He was pleased to say that by the recent Masonio concert in aid of tha Devon Masonic Educational Fond the funds would be benefitted to the extent of nearly £ 70 . Bro . J . Griffin proposed the Senior and Junior Wardens and the other Officers . Bros . Goad , Stanlake , and Moore replied . Bro . C . G . Withel gave the Directors and Share .

holders of the Devon and Cornwall Freemasons Hall and Club Com . pany . Bro . J . R . Lord , Chairman of the Directors , said they had a building second to none in tbe Province . They were banded together to promote Freemasonry , and it was the duty of every Mason in the Three Towns to identify himself with the club . Although thoy had not received the support whioh they had beon led to expect , he

was glad to say that so far their undertaking had been a great success , and so long as they worked together they would be able to maintain and support that building in furtherance of the objects for wbich it was built . . Bro . D . Cross , Chairman of the Refreshment Committee , also replied . He asked members who were not share , holders to join with them in the benefits wbich they felt were bound

to accrue . Bro . S . Jew proposed Our Sister Lodges and Visitors . Bros . Allsford , Radmore and Page responded . Other tcasts followed . LENNOX LODGE , No . 123 . THE members of this Lodge , celebrated the Festival of St . John the Evangelist on Tuesday evening , 27 th nit ., when Bro . John Gibson was duly installed Worshipful Master , at the Masonio Hall , Richmond , Yorkshire , where the ceremony was performed by Bro . tbe Hon . W . T . Orde-Powlett Past Grand Warden of England and Deputy Provincial Grand Master of North and East Yorkshire . The
