endeavour to be present . It is with much regret I have to announce the death of our excellent frioud Companion John Hirst , of Uppermill , on the 29 th March ; he was an amiable and highly esteemed gentleman , and a distinguished member of this Chapter . In making my selectiou of Officers for the ensuing year , I havo endeavoured to

recognise merit to the best of my judgment , and to spread the offices as much as possible . Iu conclusion I thank you for yotir courteous salutation and your patience in listening to this " Jubilee Address . "

I hope you may all rejoice in its celebration , ancl heartily testily yonr loyalty to onr Gracious Sovereign with pardonable pride in her many virtues , together with the beneficent character of her long , prosperons and eventful reign .

The roll of Royal Arch Chapters , ancl the roll of Present and Pasfc Grand Officers having been called , the minntes of the meeting held at Wakefield , 24 th JSTovember 1886 , were presented and confirmed . Companion J . W . Fourness

P . Z . 289 Provincial Graud Treasurer presented his balance sheet , which showed a balance in the W . R . XJ . Bank , Dewsbury , on 30 th April , of £ 243 12 s 7 d . On the motion of Comp , C . L . Mason , Comp . Thomas Harrison P . Z . 296 was elected Provincial Grand Treasurer for the ensuing year . The Provincial Grand Superintendent then appointed and invested the Provincial Grand Officers , as follow : —

Presentation . Also " that a donation of Three Guineas be made from the funds of Prov . G . Chapter to the Imperial Institute of tlie United Kingdom , the Colonies aud India . " The best thanks of Provincial Graud Chapter weregiveu to the Companions of the four Leeds Chapters for the perfect

arrangements they had made . Provincial Grand Chapter was then closed according to ancient custom . Tea was provided in the banquet hall afc 5 * 30 , and upwards of sixty-five Companions partook of it , Companion Mason presiding .

rpiIE Installation Convocation of this Chapter was hold at the J- Freemasons' Tavern , Great Queen Street , on Thursday , tho 28 th of April . Comp . Dr . Corrie Jackson Z ., Dr . Jagielski H ., Comp . Bieling J ., and Comp . H . lteed P . S . After the minutes of the last convocation had been read and confirmed , ballot was taken for Bro . William Taylor , Polish National Lodge , No . 53 J . This

proved to be unanimously in his favour , and , being in atteudance , he was exalted to the supreme de ^ rco by tho M . E . Z . Tongue , the W . M . of the Polish National Lodge , who , in response , said that he regretted that when he was made a ltoyal Arch Mason he did not know of the

existence of the Polish National Chapter he thns had joined the Eclectic . He hoped when some of his many duties were completed to become a member of the Polish National Chapter . After this the Officers wore complimented , and the Jauitor ' s toast closed a very pleasant evening .

The ceremony of Installation of Principals will be rehearsed , for the last time this session , afc the Metropolitan Chapter of Improvement , White Hart , Abchnrch Lane , corner of Cannon Street , on Tuesday , the 10 th insfc ., to

commence at half-past five o ' clock . The usual exaltation ceremony will afterwards be rehearsed . Members will please take note that fche session will end on the 24 th of May .

William Kelly , and tho Officers of the Provincial
