The annual meeting of the Mark Lodge Sincerity , No . 189 , was held at the Sincerity Masonio Temple , St . George ' s Hall , Stonehouse , on the 2 nd inst . Bro . John Chapman , of Torquay , was unanimously elected W . M . for the ensuiner vear , White Treasurer , and Gidley Tyler . At

a meeting of the Ark Mariners Lodge , held in connection with Lodge Sincerity , Bros . White was elected W . C . N ., Dunsterville Treasurer , and Gidley Warden . The annual banquet will take place at the Masonio Club following the installation on the first Monday in January .

There is really little to say as to the proceedings of Supreme Grand Chapter , which met at Freemasons' Hall on Wednesday last . Comp . P . A . Philbrick , Q . C ., Grand "Rflffistrar . presided , and after the minutes of last

Convocation had been read it was decided that the report of the Committee of General Purposes , as given by us last week , be adopted . The several recommendations were edso assented to , and thus the business ended .

At the annual meeting of the Inkerman Chapter , held on the 26 th ult ., at the Masonic Hall , Weston-Super-Mare , Comp . Alford was re-installed as First Principal , the installing Master being Comp . Col . Long Grand H . of Somerset . There was a numerous attendance .

At a meeting of the Mark Masters Masons , held at the Masonic Booms , Temperance Hall , Merthyr , on 29 th ult ., P . M . Giles Golding , of the St . George ' s Lodge , was installed Worshipful Master of the Ashlar Lodge of M . M . M .

After the installation a banquet was held at tbe Freemasons' Hotel , which was attended by a large number of brethren . The catering waB entrusted to Host C . Curtis , who had prepared an excellent spread .

The annual Provincial Grand Lodge of Mark Masons of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight was held at Basingstoke , on Friday , the 30 th ult ., under the presidency of the Provincial Grand Mark Master ( Bro . W . W . B . Beach , M . P . )

The Lodge of Instruction in connection with the West Middlesex Lodge , No . 1612 , will resume its meetings on the 9 th inst ., at the Feathers Hotel , Ealing .

A correspondent in Notes and Queries asks : —Will any contributor who has access to Covent Garden Theatre records kindly tell me whether the " Freemason ' s Procession , " described in S . Curwen ' s " An American in England from 1775 to 1783 " ( Boston , U . S ., 1864 ) , has been seen in that theatre since 9 th January 1781 ?

The Lodge of Israel , which meets at the Cannon Street Hotel , have voted a donation of £ 20 to the Rosso-Jewish Relief Fund .

It is with much regret we announce , this week , the death of Bro . Albert Escott , of the Royal Naval School , Greenwich . The funeral took place on the 2 nd inst ., at the Cemetery , Greenwich . There was a very large assemblage , and nearly all tho houses along the route the cortege took had

They nrge the Italians to sweep away the Quiriual , and that no one in France be entrusted with any State appointment , however humble , who has been educated in a JeanUb Seminary . That does not look like peace on earth and goodwill towards men .
