SUPREME GRAND CHAPTER .

THE meeting of Grand Chapter , which took place at . Freemasons' Hall on Wednesday last , and of which we published the full agenda paper last week , calls for but few comments . The several recommendations as set forth

were moved for confirmation by Comp . Robert Grey , and seconded by Comp . Richardson . They were all agreed to , and this completing the business Supreme Grand Chapter was closed .

rpHE annual Provincial Graud Lodge of Mark Master - *• Masons in Somerset was held on the 29 th ult ., at Yeovil , under the presidency of the R . W . P . G . M . Brother R . C . Else P . G . Deacon of England . There was a numerous and influential attendance of brethren , all the

Lodges in the Province being represented . By desire of the members of the receiving Lodge , a ceremony of advancement was first proceeded with , Bro . Louch , solicitor , of Langport , being advanced , and the ceremony being

conducted by the P . G . Lodge Officers . A special musical programme was arranged by Bro . Nosworfchy P . G . Organist of England , and Bro . Rev . J . A . Lloyd P . G . Chaplain of England also took part in the ceremony , the Lodge being

presided over by the R . W . P . G . M . The P . G . Treasurer ( Bro . Radway , of Bath ) reported a balance in hand of £ 73 8 s 7 d . On the proposition of the R . W . P . G . M . ( Bro . Else ) , seconded by Bro . Radway P . G . D . of England ,

it was unanimously resolved " That the Mark Master Masons of Somerset desire to place on record their feelings of deep grief at the death of the illustrious Past Grand Master , the Right Hon . Earl of Carnarvon , and their sense

of the great ; loss the degree has sustained thereby . " Bro . R . C Else was unanimously and with warm acclamation re-elected to the position of R . W . P . G . M . for the next three years , on the proposition of Bro . Radway ( Bath ) ,
