Ebury Lodge , No . 1348 . INSTALLATION OF BROTHER FRANK CLARK . THE annual meeting of this Lodge , held at the Criterion , Piccadilly Circus , W ., on Tuesday of last week , proved a very successful and interesting function , and was attended by about one hundred Brethren . The chair was occupied by Bro . C . Stuart Walker W . M ., supported by Bros . Frank Clark S . W . W . M .-elect , W . N . Ward J . W ., W . C . Wigley P . M . Treas ., H . Fincham P . M . Sec J . Warren

The Lodge having been regularly opened , the minutes were read and confirmed , after which the ballot was taken for Mr . Walter James Darby , a candidate for initiation , and proved unanimous in his favour . He was then initiated into the mysteries of Ancient Freemasonry .

The Lodge was advanced to the second degree , and Brother Clark presented as W . M .-elect . He was obligated and in a Board ei Installed Masters was regularly placed in the chair , as ruler of

the Lodge , Bro . H . H . Davy P . M . acting as D . C . The Brethren were then , re-admitted , and saluted the new chief in the three degrees , after which the new Officers for the year were appointed , as follow : Bros . Ward S . W ., Bray J . W ., Wigley * ' . M . Treas ., Fincham P . M . Sec , Thomson S . D ., Davy J . D ., T . F . Quelch I . G ., Allwood Org ., W . J . Alabaster D . C , F . Payne , G . D : Barn , and F . C . Tilley Stewards , Potter P . M . Tyler . The installation addresses were particularly well rendered by the outgoing Master .

The report of the Auditors was presented and agreed to . A sum of five guineas was voted to the Richard Eve Memorial Fund , and fifteen guineas to the Benevolent Institution , to be placed on the list of the I . P . M . The resignation of a member was accepted with regret ; and the Secretary reported the death of Bro . Walter Harvey , to whose funeral a wreath had been sent on behalf of the Lodge .

Hearty good wishes were tendered to the W . M ., who closed the Lodge , whereupon the company adjourned to the handsome banquet room of this famous establishment , and at the conclusion of the dinner the usual toast list was gone through . The first was that of His Majesty the King , the head of the English nation , who for twenty-seven years had occupied the proud

position of ruler of English Freemasonry , and had won the esteem and regard of every member of the Order . He trusted the Great Architect of the Universe would give His Majesty health and strength to reign over them for many years , and that He would also bless Queen Alexandra and maintain her in her exalted station . The Secretary Bro . Fincham gave the solo of the National Anthem , the Brethren warmly endorsing .

The next toast was that of the Grand Officers , and was also warmly received . In giving the toast of the W . M . the I . P . M . said he considered it the toast of the evening , and he submitted it with all sincerity . The W . M . and he had been initiated in the Lodge together ten years ago , and he could assure the Brethren he regarded it as an honour and a pleasure to have had the opportunity of installing him that evening as his successor in the chair . He was sure his heart

was in the Lodge , and that as W . M . he would keep up the fame and good name the Ebury Lodge had already secured ; he was convinced he would add to its reputation , and do as much for it as any Master of the past . He hoped the Brethren would join in wishing him good health , and a prosperous term as Worsinpful Master , which toast was heartily received .

The W . M . thanked the I . P . M . for the way in which he had installed him that evening . As that Brother had said , they had mounted the ladder together step by step , and he was delighted now that he had gained the topmost rung . He . assured the Brethren he should endeavour to uphold the glorious name of the Ebury Lodge as his predecessors had done , and he further sincerely promised he would do everything in his power to give the Brethren all the satis-

The Lodge having been regularly opened , the minutes were read and confirmed , after which the ballot was taken for Mr . Walter James Darby , a candidate for initiation , and proved unanimous in his favour . He was then initiated into the mysteries of Ancient Freemasonry .

The Lodge was advanced to the second degree , and Brother Clark presented as W . M .-elect . He was obligated and in a Board ei Installed Masters was regularly placed in the chair , as ruler of

The Brethren were then , re-admitted , and saluted the new chief in the three degrees , after which the new Officers for the year were appointed , as follow : Bros . Ward S . W ., Bray J . W ., Wigley * ' . M . Treas ., Fincham P . M . Sec , Thomson S . D ., Davy J . D ., T . F . Quelch I . G ., Allwood Org ., W . J . Alabaster D . C , F . Payne , G . D : Barn , and F . C . Tilley Stewards , Potter P . M . Tyler . The installation addresses were particularly well rendered by the outgoing Master .

The report of the Auditors was presented and agreed to . A sum of five guineas was voted to the Richard Eve Memorial Fund , and fifteen guineas to the Benevolent Institution , to be placed on the list of the I . P . M . The resignation of a member was accepted with regret ; and the Secretary reported the death of Bro . Walter Harvey , to whose funeral a wreath had been sent on behalf of the Lodge .

Hearty good wishes were tendered to the W . M ., who closed the Lodge , whereupon the company adjourned to the handsome banquet room of this famous establishment , and at the conclusion of the dinner the usual toast list was gone through . The first was that of His Majesty the King , the head of the English nation , who for twenty-seven years had occupied the proud

position of ruler of English Freemasonry , and had won the esteem and regard of every member of the Order . He trusted the Great Architect of the Universe would give His Majesty health and strength to reign over them for many years , and that He would also bless Queen Alexandra and maintain her in her exalted station . The Secretary Bro . Fincham gave the solo of the National Anthem , the Brethren warmly endorsing .

The next toast was that of the Grand Officers , and was also warmly received . In giving the toast of the W . M . the I . P . M . said he considered it the toast of the evening , and he submitted it with all sincerity . The W . M . and he had been initiated in the Lodge together ten years ago , and he could assure the Brethren he regarded it as an honour and a pleasure to have had the opportunity of installing him that evening as his successor in the chair . He was sure his heart

was in the Lodge , and that as W . M . he would keep up the fame and good name the Ebury Lodge had already secured ; he was convinced he would add to its reputation , and do as much for it as any Master of the past . He hoped the Brethren would join in wishing him good health , and a prosperous term as Worsinpful Master , which toast was heartily received .

The W . M . thanked the I . P . M . for the way in which he had installed him that evening . As that Brother had said , they had mounted the ladder together step by step , and he was delighted now that he had gained the topmost rung . He . assured the Brethren he should endeavour to uphold the glorious name of the Ebury Lodge as his predecessors had done , and he further sincerely promised he would do everything in his power to give the Brethren all the satis-
