At the banquet which followed , and whioh , through the kindness of Brother Daoust , was of Spiers and Pond ' s best , the nsual Masonic and Loyal toasts were honoured with that enthusiasm for which the Lodge is already noted .

Colonel Starkie , presiding , supported by Comps . J . H . Sillitoe Prov . G . H ., A . H . Jefferia P . G . J ., and about 90 other Companions .

Provincial Grand Chapter was opened at 3 " 30 , in the usual manner . The Prov . Grand Scribe E . Comp . Chadwick called over the roll of Prov . Grand Officers , and afterwards the roll of Chapters holden in the Province , representatives from all but one responding .

The minutes of the last P . G . Chapter meeting , held at Bury , were read and confirmed . The Auditors reported their investigation of the Prov . Grand Treasurer ' s accounts , which was in every sense satisfactory . The report was

adopted and votes of thanks to the Prov . G . Treasurer and the Auditors were unanimously voted . The Rev . J . E . Roberts , M . A ., of the Perseverance Chapter , Ashton-under-Lyne , was elected Prov . Grand Treasnrer .
