J . Stndholme Brownrigg acted as J . There was an exceptionally large attendance of Grand Officers and others . The minutes and other preliminary business having been disposed of , the acting M . E . Z . announced the re-election of the Prince of Wales as M . E . Z ., and the appointment by

His Royal Highness of the Earl of Carnarvon as Pro M . E . Z ., the Earl of Lathom as H ., and Lord Leigh as J . The latter post was not filled last year out of respect to the memory of the late Duke of Albany , who had held the office at the time of his decease . The following were then appointed and invested as the other Grand Officers for the

was taken as read , and ordered to be received and entered on the minutes . Comp . Robert Grey , President of the Board , formally proposed the granting of the new charters , and Comp . Frank Richardson seconded . The Committee of General Purposes for the coming year was constituted

Among the works exhibited will bo fche original drawings executed by ilr " . Frederick Barnard from his " Character Sketches from Dickens , " published last autumn .
