IN the history of this attractive Order in Freemasonry , no more important or grander gathering of its members has ever taken p lace than that of the 5 th instant . We have had intimate acquaintance with the progress of the Mark Degree dnring nearly twenty-five years , and could not avoid comparing the assemblage of Grand Mark Lod ^ e on this occasion with many of its former gatherings , even so

lately as some ten or twelve years ago . Then one of the smallest Lodge-rooms in tho Freemasons' Tavern afforded more than ample accommodation for the few earnest and indefatigable members who comprised tho Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons . On Monday laut tho largest hall the building possesses only conveniently accom .
