GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY . The Booking Office at Paddingdon station will be open for tha issue of tickets the whole day on the Monday , Tuesday , Wednesday , and Thursday before Easter . Cheap tickets at special low fares , and available on the forward journey on 15 th , 16 th . 17 th , 18 th or 19 th April , will be issued from London to Bath , Bristol , Minehead , llfracombe , Exeter , Plymouth , Falmouth , Penzance , Yeovil , Dorchester , Weymouth , and certain other stations in the South and West of England . Tickets at 25 s . return , available for 14 days , will also be issued for use on 15 th , 17 th , or 19 th April , to Guernsey and Jersey .

On Wednesday , 14 th April , excursions , allowing a fortnight in Ireland , will be run to Watertord , Limerick , Killarney , Belfast , Armagh , Giant ' s Causeway , & c . On Thursday , 15 th April , an excursion reaching Exeter in 5 J hours , and Plymouth in 7-J hours , will leave Paddington at 7 * 55 a . m . Excursions

will also be run on the same day to Bristol , Weston-Super-Mare , Taunton , Minehead , llfracombe , Bodmin , Penzance , Yeovil , Weymouth , Oxford , Birmingham , Shrewsbury , Aberystwyth , Barmouth , Llandudno , Carnarvon , Chester , Manchester , Liverpool , Isle of Man , Cirencester , Gloucester , Cheltenham , Newport , Cardiff , Swansea , Carmarthen , New Milford , Cork , Evesham , Worcester , Malvern , & c .

On Good Friday , Cheap trains will run to Reading , Oxford , and other riverside . stations . On : Saturday , 17 th April , Excursions , will run to Gloucester , Cheltenham , Cardiff , Swansea , Bath , Bristol , Weston-Super-Mare , & c , and on Easter Monday , to Ilrading , Bath , Bristol , Weston-Super-Mare , Gloucester , Cheltenham , & o . On Tuesday , 20 th April , a cheap half-day excursion will leave Paddington at 12-2 noon for Oxford , Leamington and Stratford-on-Avon .

. In addition to these excursions , cheap trains will be run to London from most of the provincial towns , and between the principal centres of population . On the Thursday before Easter most of the longdistance trains will be duplicated ; the first portion as a general rule will take passengers for the longer distances and the second those for less distant places .

On Good Friday , the trains will run as on Sundays , with the addition of the 530 a . m . Newspaper train , which will run as far as Oxford , Plymouth , and Swansea , " calling" at the usual intermediate stations , and connecting at Oxford with - trains to the Worcester , Birmingham and Wolverhampton districts ; at Chippenham with the 8 ' 15 a m ., thence to the Weymouth Line ; and at Plymouth with tho 2 ' 25 p . m ., thence to Penzance .

Cheap Third Class Excursion Tickets will be issued on Good Friday , Saturday , 1 . 7 th April , Easter Sunday and Monday , by specified trains from Paddington , ' Kensington ( Addison Road ) , Hammersmith , and certain stations on the Metropolitan , Metropolitan District and North London Railways , to Staines , Windsor . Taplow , Maidenhead , Henley , and other popular riverside . resorts .

Cheap Week-end Tickets will be issued on Thursday , 15 th April Good Friday ; ' and" Saturday , 17 th April , to Bridport , Abbotsbury , Dorchester , Weymouth , Clevedon , Weston-super-Mare , Dawlish , Teignmouth , Torquay , Paignton , Malvern , Church Stretton , Abingdon , Oxford , Leamington , Warwick , and Stratford-on-Avon . These tickets are issued on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the year .

GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY . THE ' Great Northern Railway Company announce that on the night of Thursday , " l 5 th April , a cheap excursion will leave London ( Woolwich Arsenal , Woolwich Dockyard , Victoria ( L . C . and D . ) , Ludgate Hill , Moorgate , Aldersgate , Farringdon , King's Cross , & c ) , for Northallerton , Darlington , Richmond ; Durham , Newcastle , Berwick , Edinburgh , Glasgow , Helensburgh , Stirling , Perth , Dundee , Oban , Fort William , Montrose , Aberdeen , Keith , Buckie , Fraserburgh , Ballater , Inverness , and other stations in Scotland , returning on Monday , 19 th , or Friday , 23 rd April .

Tickets at a Single Fare for the Double Journey will also bo issued by above excursion to places named , available for return \ jy one fixed train on any day within sixteen days , including days of issue and return . On Thursday , 15 th April , cheap excursions will also be run for 5 and 6 days to and from London ( King ' s Cross ) and York , Bradford , Keighley , Halifax . In connection with the Excursions to the' Provinces and Scotland , on Thursday , 15 th April , tickets will be issued at Holloway , Finsbury Park , the High Barnet and Edgware branch stations , Harringay , Hornsey , Wood Green , the Enfield branch stations , New Southgate , Oakleigh Park , and New Barnet at the King ' s Cross fans , and passengers booking at these stations may , without extra payment , travel by ordinary train to either Finsbury Park or King ' s Cross , as may be necessary , in order to join the Excursion trains .

On Good Friday , 16 th April , the 5-15 a . m . express from King ' s Cross will be run through to Lincoln , Nottingham , Sheffield , Manchester , Wakefield , Leeds , Bradford , Halifax , York , Newcastle , and certain stations in Scotland . On Good- Friday , 16 th April , cheap 2 or 4 days excursions will be run from Manchester , Oldham , Keighley , Halifax , Bradford , Leeds , Wakefield , York , & c , to London ( King ' s Cross ) .

On Saturday , 17 th April , cheap 3 days excursion trains will be run from Liverpool , Southport , Manchester , Oldham , Wigan , & c , to London ( King ' s Cross ) . To prevent inconvenience from crowding at the Company ' s principal terminal station , King ' s Cross , tickets dated in advance will be issued King ' s Cross ( G . N . R . ) , Victoria ( L . C and D . ) , Ludgate Hill , Moorgate , Aldersgate , Farringdon , and Finsbury Park stations , and at the several ticket offices throughout the metropolis .

MIDLAND RAILWAY . CHE AP Excursion Trains will run from London on Tuesday , 13 th April , to Londonderry , via Morecambe , by direct Steamer , returning within 16 days as per sailing bill ; on Wednesday , 14 th , to Dublin , Cork , Killarney , & c , via Morecambe , returning within 16 days as per sailing bill ; and on Thursday , 15 th , to the same places via Liverpool , returning any week-day within 16 clays ; on Thursday , 15 th , to Belfast , Londonderry , Portrush , & c , via Barrow and via Liverpool , available for returning any week-day within 16 days .

Ou Thursday , 15 th , cheap excursion trains will also be run from London to Leicester , Nottingham , Newark , Lincoln , Birmingham , Burton , Derby , Manchester , Blackburn , Bolton , Rochdale , Oldham , Liverpool , Sheffield , Leeds , Bradford , Scarboro ' , Newcastle-on-Tyne , the Furness District , Carlisle , & c . & c , returning the following Monday or Tuesday ; and

to Douglas ( Isle of Man ) available for returning any week-day within 10 days ; and from-London ( St . Pancras ) to Edinburgh , Glasgow , Greenock , Perth , Stirling , Aberdeen , Inverness , Nairn , Forres , Ballater , & c , returning Monday , 19 th April , or Friday , 23 rd April . Tickets will also be issued by the Scotch excursion at a single ordinary third class fare for the double journey , available for returning on any day within 16 days from date of issue .

On Easter Monday , 19 th April , cheap day excursion trains will be run to St . Albans , Harpenden , and Luton . Cheap week-end tickets will be issued on Thursday , Friday , . and Saturday , 15 th , 16 th , and 17 th , from London ( St . Pancras ) to the principal holiday and pleasure resorts in the Peak District of Derbyshire , Yorkshire , the North East Coast , and other parts , available for return on any day up to and including Tuesday , 20 th April , except day of issue . . Cheap wtek-end and day excursion tickets will also be issued ; to Southend-oh-Sea during the Easter holidays , for particulars ' of which * see special bills . Tickets for joining the trains at St . Pancras Station can be obtained on the two days previous to the running of the trains at the offices of the Company . Cheap excursion trains for five or six days will also be run on Thursday , 15 ch April , to London , from Carlisle , Bradford , Leeds , Sheffield , 'Liverpool ,

Manchester , Blackburn , Bolton , Blackpool , Preston , Lincoln , Newark , & c , ancl from Birmingham , Wolverhampton , Walsall , & c . On Good Friday , 16 th April , from Bradford , Leeds , Sheffield , Blackburn , Bolton , Blackpool , Preston , Oldham , Manchester , & c , for two or four days , and from Burton , Derby , ' Nottingham , Birmingham , Leicester , & c , for one , four , or five days .

Passengers will be booked by these trains at cheap fares to Bri ghton , and other South Coast Stations , and to the Continent ; those for the Continent having the privilege of returning by any ordinary train within 16 days . Cheap three days trips will also be run to London on Friday night , 16 th April , from Colne , Blackburn , Bolton , Blackpool , Preston , Rochdale , Oldham , & c , and oh Saturday , 17 th April , from Manchester , & c .

On Easter Monday , single day trips will be run from Manchester , Stockport , & c , Burton , Derby , Nottingham , Leicester , Northampton , Bedford , Luton , St . Albans , & c , and a one or two days trip from Birmingham and the South Stafford District . To prevent inconvenience and crowding , the booking offices at St .

Pancras and Moorgate Street Stations will be open for the issue of tickets all day on Wednesday , Thursday , and Saturday , 14 th , 15 th , and 17 th April , and tickets to all principal stations on the Midland Railway will also be issued beforehand at any of their offices , throughout London , the tickets obtained being available from St . Pancras Station ; issued at the same fares as charged at that Station , and dated to suit the convenience of Passengers . On Good Friday , the trains on the Midland Railway will run as appointed for Sundays , with a few exceptions .

neighbonihood . The drawing is made and published by Mr . W . C . Norton , of thc firm of Norton and Sons , Tailors , of 150 Strand , and is well worth preserving , especially in view of what is almost certain to happen at no very distant date—the removal of the church and other buildings in its wake , for the purpose of widening this busy London thoroughfare .
