The Great Pyramid.

THE GREAT PYRAMID .

BY BRO . JOHN CHAPMAN , F . R . M . S ., P . PROV . G . D . DEVON .

( Continued from page 159 . ; THE PEOPHETIC POINTING OP THE GEEAT PYEAMID . THE Great Pyramid , with its historical and scientific revelations , having already formed the subject of previous investigations , we will now direct the attention of the reader to the symbolism of the building for its Prophetic

pointing . Prophecy , in connection with divine inspiration , is the most important foreshadowing of events we can have , and this we claim for the Great Pyramid . Clearly-defined rules of interpretation have been established which enables the lover of divine revelation to follow the pointing of the prophetic finger . The fulfilment of some of the prophecies amply illustrates

the severe beauty of the divinely-inspired foreshadowings , and establishes our confidence in those already waiting fulfilment . This , however , does not prevent us wandering away from the accurate interpretation of the prediction : and why ? Perhaps the two chief reasons are , man ' s darkened spiritual vision , and the enigmatical form in which the prophecy is couched .

To one or both of these causes may be assigned the general misconception of the prophetic scroll ; but this should not preclude an attempt for the rightly dividing of the word of prophecy . The devout and comprehensive mind has often failed to divine its meaning , but that should not deter us from striving to fathom its mysteries , and trying to comprehend its hidden truth . Indeed ,

one of the modes by which our Blessed Lord confuted His enemies , and established His mission on earth , was the Book of the Prophets , to which he constantly referred . The Great Pyramid had been locked and sealed 2 , 200 years , and plated with those immense blocks of finely-polished casing-stones , ere our Saviour , in His ministry , had occasion to hold forth the prophetic

beacon . The completion of the work , and the fixing of the spiral " head-stone of the corner , " might well cause the morning stars to sing together , and all the sons of God to shout for joy . Take away the Pyramid , and there is no other building in the world that could so appropriately agree with the Psalmist ' s idea of a five-angled structure , whose apex formed " the head-stone

of the corner . " Doubtless our Saviour had this in view when He quoted the Psalmist , knowing full well that the building would be " a witness unto the Lord of Hosts in the land of Egypt" in the latter days , as foretold by the prophet Isaiah . Theindentiflcation of the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel with the British nation has proved a magic key with which to unlock the dark truths that shrowd some of the prophecies . It would be remissful indeed on the
