A REGULAR meeting was held in the Grand Hotol . on Wednesday , the 1 st inst . Present—Bros . Joseph Selby W . M ., G . W Parker S . W ., Birkbeck J . W ., John Taylor Treasnrer , Jas . Simister Secretary , Lingard S . D ., Chalmers J . D ., Hoyland P . M . Dir . of Cers ., Edmondson Organist , T . H . Fitzsimmons Steward ; P . M . ' s Godfrey Higham P . P . G . D . D . C , and Armitage ; Bros . Mason , Claud ,

Stephenson , and Hartley ; Visitors—Hassall , Middleton , and Wright , from 2290 Liverpool , Dawson 934 , and H . Crawford S . D . 218 Toronto . The Lodge was opened in dne form , and the minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed . Mr . Charles Shorrocks was balloted for and elected to become a member of the Lodge . He waa

subsequently initiated into Freemasonry by Bro . Godfrey Higham P . M . Bro Mason , having answered the necessary questions leading from the first to the second degree , received the test of merit and retired . He was afterwards passed to the degree of Fellow Craft by tbe W . M ., and there being no farther business , the Lodge was closed in peace and harmony .

THE installation meeting of this Lodge was held at the Masonio Hall , King ' s Arms Hotel , Grays , on the 18 th ultimo . There was a large attendance , and amongst those present were Bros . J . H . rotter , with a handsome Past Master ' s jewel , voted to him at the previous meeting . Four candidates for initiation having been proposed and seconded , and " Hoarty good wishes" having been expressed by the Visitors , the Lodge was closed . After an excellent banquet the customary toasts were given , the speeches being oomroendably brief in order to allow the brethren to catoh the last train for town . A T a largely attended meeting of membors of this Lodge , hold at A * - tho Masonio Hall , Plymouth , on Saturday evening , tho 4 th lustaut , Bro . Godfrey Evans S . W . was elected W . M . in succession to Bro . C . Mutten , whose term of office has expired . Bros . C . Philp as £ reasnrer , J . G . Kevern as Representative on the Lodge on tho

Committee of Petitions , C . Mutten as Charity Stoward , and W . Phillips as Tyler , were unanimously re-elected and thanked for their past services . During the evening hearty congratulations were exchanged on tho increasing prosperity of the Lodge , an unusually large number of candidates having been initiated during the past twelve months .

There wero ' 30 Companions prosent , and a vory pleasant evening was spent , the usual Loyal and Masonic toasts being honoured .
