Prov . Graud Master , Bro . J . E . LeFeuvre . After the ceremony the installation banquet was held in tho Hotel Mont Dore , the usual Masonio toasts being honoured . During the evening the charity box wa 3 passed round in aid of the Worthing Relief Fund .

W . was installed by the Right Hon . the Earl of Radnor Provincial Grand Master Wilts as Worshipful Master of this Lodge , at tho meeting held at WeBtbury on the 12 th ult . Thero was a large company presont , and the proceedings wero followed by a banquet at the Lopes Arms .

desirous of becoming a joining member . Upon the conclusion of the ordinary Lodge business a board of Installed Masters was formed and the installation iuto the chair of K . S . of Bro . W . A . Brabner S . W . took place , Bro . VVoliaston acting as Installing Mastor . The festival of St . John was held in the dining room of the hotel , and was a very brilliant affair . Bro . Thomas , by a happy
inspiration , had provided a card embellished with choice quotations from tho works of Shakespearo , and these gave rise to much humorous and friendly oritici 3 m . The nsual Loyal and Masonio toasts were submitted , and the Provincial Grand Officers in responding acknowledged that the ceremony of the day had bean excellently well performed .
The duty of proposing the toast of the W . M . devolved npon Bro . WollaBton I . P . M ., who paid a very flattering tributo to his successor , not only on aooount of his worth as a Mason , but for bis intellectual attainments , Bro . Brabner belonging to the world of letters in his capacity of poet and dramatic author . Bro . Brabner in responding said that those who wero familiar
with him could not aocuse him of nervousness , but still on the present occasion his chief desire was for his speech to be over . The direction taken by tbe three Worshipful Masters who had preceded him , left him no unoertain goal to whioh to steer . In one essential they were his superiors , they had gone into the chair with the experience derived from other Lodges as Masters , whereas be came to the ohair
in ignorance . It was , however , human to make mistakes , and he being only human was subject to the same failing , but he would ask their indulgence in advance and rely npon the preceding Masters to put him right . Reverting to his position , he declared that he felt proud of tbe Lodge , of its members , and of the objects whioh had b : en achieved . When the gavel was formally placed in his hand ho
felt that it had invested him with a definite power which could be used well or ill . In many matters he might be a maitinet , but he hoped that he should wield this newly acquired power judiciously , using it with a velvet glove . Bro , Brabner then proceeded to propose the health of the Installing Master ( Bro . Wollaston ) , saying that he had known him for years in many connections , rub more
especially in connection with the Minnehaha Minstrels , which combination was truly Masonio in its charaoter , and had done laudable work . He praiBed Bro . Wollaston for the manner in which he had performed the installation ceremony , saying that it was most exoellent and praiseworthy . With respect to the jewel which he had
the pleasure of presenting to Bro . Wollaston , the latter would wear it , not for its intrinsic value alone , bat aa a proof of the affection and esteem in whioh he was held by the brethren of the Lodge . Wollaston replying said that ho sincerely thanked Bros .

To him this was a melancholy moment , for he was conscious of the fact that bo was now retiring somewhat into the background , bnt although this was the case ho should endeavour not to relinquish any of his active work . The handsome jewel which had been presented to him he hoped to wear as long as he lived .
Bro . Brockbank proposed the toast of the Past Masters , saying that many of them were esteemed personal friends of his , whom he could heartily thank for their various kindnesses . This remark wonld refer especially to Bro . Thomas , who on the installation card bad added to toast No . 9 the legend from Othello , " As you have
proved us , praise us . Now Bro . Thomas was the first Past Master of the Minnehaha Minstrel Lodge , Bro . Wrigley tho second , while Bro . Wollaston , their retiring W . M ., was the third . Might he ( Bro . Brockbank ) give in this conneotion a paraphrase from another well , known poet , viz .:
