Oliver Steward , Bowler Tyler , Pardoe I . P . M . ; also P . M . ' s Whiteley aud Mansell . Visitor—Bro . Wood of the Dalhousie Lodge ; with 13 members . The Lodge was opened iu due form and with solemn prayer . The minntes of last meeting were read and con . firmed . Bros . Elden and Moore , who had been initiated afc fche last

meeting , as candidates for fche second degree were examined , entrusted , and retired . Lodgo was opened in the second degree , when the brethren named wero duly passed . Loclgo was closed to the firsfc degree , ancl a ballot having been taken for Bros . Davies and fveorte , both of the Dalhousie Lodge , No . 865 , proposed by Bra . Williams ,

seconded by Brother Collins P . M ., as joining members , and fche ballot being unanimously iu their favour , they were declared duly elected ; they suitably thanked the Lodge . Three gentlemen were nominated as candidates for initiation afc the next meeting . The Secretary announced tho receipt of a letter from Bro . Stacey P . M .

Organist , excusing himself from attendance on account of indisposition . A resignation was also announced , and accepted with regrefc . Lodgo was then closed in accordance wifch ancient custom , and fche brethren adjourned to fche dining-room , where a plain , but substantial , ropast awaited them . The table being cleared , the W . M . gave

fche health of the Queen , which was drunk with true Commemoration fire , as also wero tho following toasts : —The Most Worshi pfnl Graud Master , the Grand Officers Present and Past ; fche Visitors , Bra . Wood 865 responding ; the Past Masters , Bro . Pardoo responding ; tho Joining Members , Bras . Davies and Keene

responding . Ihe I . P . M . then took tho gavel , aud proposed the health of tho W . M ., which was enthusiastically drank . Tho W . M . proposed tho Officers , thanking them one and all for their zed and ability , and for the assistance they had rendered him iu the ceremony of the evening . The Officers having responded , the Tyler ' s tonst closed one

of tho happiest evenings imaginable , at an early hour , enabling fche brethren from London to catch the 10 * 8 p . m . train home . The next meeting will be on the firsfc Wednesday iu February , wheu tbe work is expected fco consist of two raisings and three initiations .
