Robertson gavo an interesting account of the working of their Association iu America and Canada for the detection and suppression of tho Masonic tramp .

Smith presided , and aftor tho Loyal toasts had been given Bro . Tooth submitted the toast of tho Right Worshipful Bro . Colonel Foster Gough P . G . S . B . Provincial

Grand Master of Staffordshire , and in doing so alluded to tho satisfaction which tho appointment gave to tho brethren of tho Province when Colonel Gongh received tho appointment from the Prince of Wales . Bro . Hammersley proposed tho health of Bro . Lieutenant-Colonel Brindley , Deputy Provincial Grand Master ,

and the Officers of the Provincial Grand Lodge past and present . Bro . Bentley responded . Bro . Tooth next proposed the health of the W . M . for the eusning year . He said the brethren of the Lodge ought to foil proud iu having succeeded in getting such a man bo fill the position of W . M . as Brother Smith . He was a thorough Mason , and one who

appreciated and acted up to tbe teachings of Masonry . Bro . Smith suitably replied , expressing his gratitude to the brethren for tho honour they had that day oonferred upon him . Ho should do all in his power to discharge the obligations of the office . Ho was succeeding an able and zealous brother , and although he might not add

lustre to the position , he should never tarnish it , and ho hoped at the end of hi 3 year of oB \ ce he should have earned the appreciation of his brethren . Bro . Smith then proposed the health of the I . P . M . He said the services that Bro . Tooth had rendered to Masonry generally , and the Josiah Wedgwood Lodge in particular , were well known , and

he need not dilate upon them , neither need ho dilate upon tho many excellent qualities of Bro . Tooth . It was his privilege to know many Masons , excellent Masons , bat he knew no one , whether as a Freemason or a oitizen of the world , or as an individual who endoavonred to carry out the prinoiples of the Craft , and practise out of Lodgo

those excellent precepts whioh they were taught , in a moro marked manner than did Bro . Tootb . The latter replied , and said if his object had been attained in making tbe Josiah Wedgwood Lodgo a success , he was fully rewarded and repaid for any services he had rendered . Bro . Bromley gave the Installing Master ( Bro . Jackson )

who replied . Bro . Small proposed the ViBiting Brethren , whioh was acknowledged by tbe Rev . L . O . A . Edgworfcb . The Officers of tho Lodge waa proposed by Bro . Spenco , and respondod to by Bro . Bullock ;

and Bro . Hammersley proposed the Masonic Charities , the concluding toast being that of the Tyler . During the evening songs and reci « tations were contributed by various brethren , the proceedings boing of a most pleasant character .
