" A SPRIG OF ACACIA . "

IT is with extreme regret we have to record the death of a brother-in-law—Mr . E . E . Baxter—which occurred on Thursday afternoon , from a severe attack of pneumonia , with other complications . Mr . Baxter had been associated with us in business since the time he left school , and had long managed our

Printing Department , being transferred the last few weeks to our branch afc Wood Green , where we hoped he had a prosperous future before him . But it has been willed otherwise , and instead we bave to mourn the loss of one who had grown to be a part of our establishment , as well as a close personal friend . Mr . Baxter

had not entered the portals of Freemasonry , but was looking forward to do so at an early date , and had already spoken to some of our friends as to his proposition , wifch fche result thafc he would have found it difficult to make a decision where to apply , as he was so generally respected , and always looked

upon as a straightforward young man , just such a candidate for Freemasonry as any Brother would be proud to introduce into his Lodge . His death at the early age of twenty-six years has been a great upset to ourselves and the many Mends he had found in business wifch us , equally with fche members of his family and personal acquaintances .
