Royal Masonic Institution For Boys.

ROYAL MASONIC INSTITUTION FOR BOYS .

THE results of fche Local examination of the Cambridge University , held in December last , have just been received , so far as fche " preliminary stage " is concerned . In this stage the School entered forty boys , whose average age was thirteen

years , one month . Of these : —One gained a first class , two gained a second class , three a third class , and thirty passed . Five " distinction" marks were secured , in Latin , English , Geography , and History .

The oldest of the " class winners was only thirteen years , one month , whilst the youngest was eleven years , four months of age . The youngest boy who passed was only ten years , four months old . This satisfactory announcement will doubtless be received with interest by our readers . The results of the junior and senior stages are not yet known .

In aid of the Eoyal Masonic Benevolent Institution , a special Cinderella Dance ( fancy or evening dress ) will be given at the King ' s Hall , Holborn Eestauranfc , on Friday , 26 fch March next . A dispensation to wear Masonic Clothing has been granted by the Grand Master , and a strong Board of Stewards , embracing

the names of several well known Brethren , has been formed to carry out the arrangements . The tickets , which are to be issued at the modest sum of half-a-crown , may be obtained of Bro . H . Kemp , Thavies Inn , Holborn , or Bro . E . W . Berry , 49 Knightrider Street , E . C .
