COMMITTEE MEETING OF THE BOYS' SCHOOL .

THE General Committee of the Eoyal Masonic Institution for Boys held their monthly meeting last Saturday , afc Freemasons' Hall . Thero wero present Bros . S . Rosenthal ( in tho chair ) , F . II . Ebsworth , James Winter , Donald M . Dewar , W . F . C . Moutrie . Georgo Cooper , John Constable , IT . Massoy , C H . Webb , W . Maple , W . Paas , F . Adlartl , Thomas Meggy , H . Young and F . Binckes

Secretary . After tho reading and confirmation of the minutes , further correspondence from Bro . S . B . Wilson was read with reference to tho dispute between him and the House Committee , and after some little discussion tho matter was referred back to tho Honso Committee for amicable settlement , if possible . The petitions for placing two

candidatea on the lisfc for election in October wero received and approved ; after which outfita wore granted to three boya edncnted in the School who have obtained situations . A notice of motion waa received from Bro . AV . II . Spaull , N . Wales and Salop , for conferring additional votes on brethren who havo served as Stewards of tho Festivals moro than twice . Tho brethren then adjourned .

THE monthly mooting of the Committee of tlio Royal Masonio Benevolent Institution was held on Wednesday , at Freemasons ^ Hall . There wore present Bros . Lient .-Col . Creaton J . P . Grand Troas . Vice Patron ( in tho chair ) , John G . Stevens , A . H . Tattershall , E . IT . Giraud , C J . Dilloy , L . Stean , C . L . Cottobrnne , S . Eawson , J . H . Leggott , James Brett , C . IT . Webb , Thomas Cubitt , R . W . Stewart , W . F . Nottloship , Jabez Hogg , W . Hilton , Griffiths Smith , Charles F .

Hogard and James Terry Secretary . Bro . Terry reported tho death of two widows . The Warden ' s report was read , ancl a vote of thanks was passed to Bro . Thomas Cubitt for his handsome gift of a bookcase for the Institution at Croydon . Two widows were granted half their Into husband's annuities , and ifc was also resolved thafc tho Honso Committee shonld invito the Stewards of the lato Festival to visit tho Institution at Croydon . This closed tho business of the meeting .

J . D ., E . T . Williams D . C and I . G ., T . Upward Organist , E . Lane W . S ., & c . The W . M . was suffering from a severe cold and loss of voice , and the chair was taken by Bro . Pinder P . Somerville , and Charles Thomas , which proved

M . invested him with tho collar and jewel of his office . The Lodge was closed in duo form , and adjourned until Saturday , 19 th Juno .
