Cross as Minister in attendance on Her Majesty , who , with the Princess Beatrice , takes her usual exercise , one day driving over to see the Prince and Princess of Wales , at Abergeldie , another walking or driving in other directions . On Wednesday Prince Leopold drove over to
seethe Princess of Wales , and the same day the Prince of Wales honoured Colonel Parquharson with a special visit to Invercauld , where a large party were assembled to join his Royal Hi ghness on a grand deer drive . The result of the day ' s sport was that five stags rolled dead under the fire of
the party . The Duke of Edinburgh , in command of H . M . S . Snlfan , reached Malta the same day , and the Duke of Connaught reached Monaghan last Friday , on a visit to Lord Rossmore , at Rossmore Castle . His Royal Highness was received at Monaghan Station by his host
and Captain Candy , and having driven to the Castle , returned to the town in order to inaugurate a splendid fountain , erected to the memory of the late Lord Rossmore . There was a large gathering of people to witness the
ceremony , and when it Avas over , the Duke was entertained at a dejeuner in the Court House . In the evening there Avas a grand display of fireAvorks , and a ball at Rossmore Castle .
