The Grand Master H . R . H . the . Prince of Wales has given another proof of the great interest he takes in the movement for the prevention and cure of Tuberculosis , by graciouslyaccepting a copy of Dr . J . E . ACCORDING to the " Court Circular , " of 6 th October , there is a well-known saying , " As well be out of the world as out of the fashion , " and it would seem as if no amount of writing against crape can affect its being extremely fashionable . According to a writer in a Sunday paper , who evidently does not love this material
" a feature of Paris life , which the visitor cannot fail to notice , is the large number of women clad from head to foot in dismal crape . These are widows , young and old . " . Possibly the writer forgets that a vast number of ladies ( the Princess of Wales included ) look extremely well in crape , and that would quite account for the quantity to be seen just now in London as well as in Paris .
ARRANGEMENTS have been made with the Great Northern Railwav Company for a special corridor dining express , at reduced fares , to leave King ' s Cross on Monday next , at 9 . 30 a . m ., Finsbury 1 ' ark 9 . 35 , Peterborough 11 . 35 , and Grantham 12 . 20 , in connection with the Congregational Union of England and Wales autumnal
