A QUARTERLY GENERAL COURT of the Governors and Subscribers will be held in tho Large HaU , Freemasons' Tavern , Great Queen Street , Lincoln's Inn Fields , London , on Monday , 16 th April 1833 , for the transaction of tho ordinary business of the Institution . To elect a Treasurer for tho year ensuing . To elect twelve Life or Annual Subscribers as Members of tho General Committee for tho year ensuing . To consider the following Notices of Motion : By W . Bro . N . B . Headon , Life Governor , P . M . No . U 2 S . In Law 31 , to leave out so much of the clause as follows tho words " or by a resolution of tho General Committee , " line 5—and to insert the following in lieu thereof : " Six days' notice of such Court being given by advertisement in threo at least of the daily papers , notice also being sent to every Provincial Grand Secretary . The business to be transacted at such Special Court shall bo specified in such requisition or resolution , and confirmation of minutes of proceedings of any such Special Court shall not bo required except in such cases as provided for in Law 34 . " The decision of a Special General Court shall not be reconsidered at any subsequent . Special Court or auy Quarterly General Court until after the expiration of 12 months from the date of the Special General Court at which such decision was adopted . " " The time at which a Special General Court shall be convened shall be between tho hours of Twelve at noon and Four in the afternoon , and the place at which such Court shall be held shall be the place at which the Courts and Committees of tho Institution are ordinarily held . George James Row , Life Governor : ¦ ' That a sum not exceeding £ 100 be contributed by tho Institution towards the Guarantee Fund now being raised by a committee at Wood-green for the purpose of promoting the Bill at present before the Houses of Parliament for tho separation of Wood-green as a Local Board District from tho existing Tottenham Local Board , which , if carried out , will be the moans of adding to tho value of the prospects belonging to this Institution , by the improvement of the roads , & c , in its vicinity , and also tend to a reduction of the rates in the district . " To elect 15 boys from an approved list of 65 candidates . The chair- will be taken at Twelve o ' clock noon precisely . The ballot for the election of candidates will be declared open at One o ' clock , or earlier should business permit , ancl will be closed at Three o ' clock punctually . MARKBENEVOLENTFUND. 20 th FESTIVAL , IN JULY 1888 . UNDER THE PRESIDENCY Of The Most Hon . the MARQUESS OF HERTFOKD R . W . Don . 0 . Master of M . M . M ., and Prov . G . Mastor of Warwickshire . rpHEFund is divided into the Benevolent , Educational , ancl Annuity -i- Branches , and all Donations and Subscriptions are apportioned eqnally between these three objects . Since the formation of the Fund in 1869 a sum of nearly £ 2000 has been distributed iu grants of relief . Thirty-sis children have reaped the advantages of tho Educational Branch at a total cost of £ 950 , while at the meeting of Graud Lodge in Juno 1886 it was unanimously agreed to give the annnal sum of £ 5 to eaoh pupil for clothing , which will necessitate this year a further expenditure of over £ 120 , the Edncational Fees amounting to nearly £ 300 . Two Brethren are at present recip ients from the Annuity Fund , and the Board will gladly consider the claims of necessitous Brethren or Widows of Brethren , being empowered to grant the sum of £ 20 and £ 16 per annum respectively to accepted Candidates after election .
