TYSSEN AMHERST LODGE , No . 2242 . THE annual festival was held at the Amherst Club , Rectory Road , Stoke Newington , N ., on Monday , 2 nd inst ., when Bro . William Henry Turner was installed as Master for the ensuing year , by his predecessor in office Bro . John Thompson .

INSTEUCTION . CONFIDENCE LODGE , No . 193 . FOLLOWING the special meeting reported in our last issue , at the newquarters of the Lodge , Bro . Baldook ' s , Bunch of Grapes , Lime Street , E . G ., came a very pleasant meeting on Wednesday , when the proceedings
were presided over by Bro . J . K . Pitt P . M . P . P . G . S . B . Surrey , who was supported by Bros . M . Baillie as S . W ., G- Spice J . W ., E . J . Davey P . M . acting Preceptor , I . W . Simeons acting Sec . and S . D ., W . Chilcott J . D ., C . Way I . G ., G . Bushill , F . D . Brennan , J . Wynman , and others .
After preliminaries Bro . G . Spice worked the first and second sections of the first lecture , and then the W . M . rehearsed the ceremony of initiation , with Bro . Brennan acting as candidate . Bro . Pitt was as good as ever with
the work , and those who knew him as we so well remember him , upwards of twenty years ago , when if he was not actually more sprightly he was yet more youthful , will want no better proof that the work was effectively performed on this occasion .
Bro . Chilcott was unanimously elected a member of the Lodge , and Bro . Baillie chosen to preside at the next meeting .

A LARGE number of Brethren attended the meeting held on Tuesday , 3 rd inst ., at the Station Hotel , Richmond , to witness the working of the consecration and installation ceremonies by Bro . James Terry P . G . S . B . Secretary of the R . M . B . I ., assisted by Bros . W . T . Peat P . M . 1656 P . P . G . O .

ROYAL VICTORIAN JUBILEE LODGE , No . 2184 . ON Tuesday evening , at 8 o ' clock , the Brethren of this Lodge assembled for the first time at their new abode , the Dover Castla Hotel , Westminster Bridge Road , which establishment is under the able management of Bro .

Reports Of Meetings.
The ceremony of passing was rehearsed , with Bro . Randall as candidate . The W . M . then resumed the Lodge to the first degree . Bro . A . Darch made some complimentary references to Brother Joseph Cohen's services on behalf ot tha Lodge , the members of which were indebted to him for the furniture they were using . Bro . Darch then spoke of the great loss they had sustained in the death of the late Bro . Wise Preceptor , in whom they had lost one of the best of Masons . They had , however , to fill his place as Preceptor of their Lodge .
Bro . Cohen said he was glad to have been useful by assisting the Brethren to establish tbe Lodge of Instruction and providing the furniture for their use . He had done what he had purely for the love of Freemasonry . He was sincerely sorry the post of Preceptor was vacant on account of the death of their departed friend Bro . Wise , but they could not do without one and ,
accordingly , he had very much pleasure in proposing Bro . A . Daroh as Preceptor of the Lodge . The proposition was seconded by Bro . Johnson J . W ., supported by Bro . J . Osmond P . M ., and carried unanimously . Bro . Darch thanked the Lodge for the honour that had been shown him , and promised to do all in his power to give satisfaction .
Bro . Horton having resigned the position of Secretary , Bro . Darch proposed Bro . T . S . Conisbee for the post . This was seconded by Bro . Cohen and unanimously agreed to . Bro . Conisbee tendered his thanks , and said as he had promised on the day of his initiation to be not only au ornamental but rather a useful Mason he was pleased to have this opportunity of proving the sincerity of his promise . He would do his utmost to give satisfaction to the members of the Lodge .
Bro . Darch proposed that a hearty vote of thanks be given to Bro . Horton , for having fulfilled the duties of Secretary almost from the formation of the Lodge . Bro . Cohen seconded , aud suggested that as a tangible mark of their appreciation Bro . Horton should be elected an Honorary Member of the Lodge , which was unanimously agreed to , and the compliment duly acknowledged .
Bro . Cooper was elected a member of the Lodge , Bro . Levey voted to the chair for the next meeting , and the new Secretary made an Honorary member of the Lodge .
PEOVINCIAL . INTEGRITY LODGE , No . 163 . THE regular meeting was held at the Freemasons' Hall , Manchester , on Wednesday , 27 th ult ., Bro . Frederic Walmsley W . M ., there being an excellent attendance of members and visitors . After the reading and confirmation of minutes , Bros . Eustace B . Beesley and Kesheo Gokhalay were raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason
the former by Bro . Joseph Wildgoose P . M . P . P . G . D . D . C , and the latter by Bro . T . H . Soholfield P . M . P . P . G . Reg ., the Working Tools being presented and explained by Bro . H . R . Yates S . W . Other important business was transacted , the Brethren ultimately adjourning to the festive board , where a pleasant evening passed quickly away .
o o o RURAL PHILANTHROPIC LODGE , No . 291 . AT the monthly meeting , held at the headquarters , Railway Hotel , Highbridge , on Friday evening , 6 th inst ., the D . P . G . M . Bro . R . C Else P . G . D . of England directed attention to the fact that one of their honorary members , Brother C L . Fry Edwards Provincial Grand Treasurer , had had conferred upon him the great honour oi being appointed Senior Grand Deacon of England in Grand Lodge , and a vote of hearty congratulation to Bro . Edwards was agreed to .
It was stated that at the same Grand Lodge meeting Bro . Lieut .-Col Kiallmark , who was initiated in the Rural Philanthropic Lodge at Highbridge , was appointed Junior Grand Deacon , and that Bro . Newington Bridges , also a former incumbent of the Highbridge Lodge , had formally received the appointment of Grand Sword Bearer . No fewer than four Brethren of Lodge No . 291 , including Bro . Else , have thus received Grand Lodge honours .
WELLINGTON LODGE , No . 341 . THE annual installation meeting took place on Wednesday afternoon , 4 th inst ., at the George Hotel , Rye , there being a remarkably good attendance of local and visiting Brethren . Tbe W . M . Bro . C . J . Fletcher P . M . ably installed his successor Bro . W . G . Rubie S . W ., who appointed his Officers .
The addresses were most impressively delivered by Bros . Wm . Dawes and J . Molyneux Jenkins . Bro . W . J . Palmer was unanimously re-elected a member of the Provincial Grand Charities Committee , and the Brethren afterwards dined together . The new W . M . presided in a remarkably able manner , and , in eloquent and most appropriate terms , submitted the Loyal and Masonic toasts .
During the evening , the W . M ., I . P . M ., and other Officers of the Lodge were warmly complimented upon the manner in which the business was conducted . The musical elements were in strong force .
ST . THOMAS LODGE , No . 992 . THE regular meeting was held at the Griffin Hotel , Lower Broughton , Manchester , on Wednesday , 4 th inst . Bro . Jas . Mumby W . M . opened the Lodge and conducted a successful ballot for Mr . Walter Perkins , Land Agent , Kersal-Hotel , Higher Broughton , this gentleman being afterwards initiated into the mysteries and privileges of ancient Freemasonry by Bro . Wm . Martin P . M . acting J . W ., tho charge being delivered by Bro . W . J . Millson S . W .
Lodge having been advanced , the interrogatories were put to Frank Pitt , who , having proved his efficiency , was then raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason by Bro . Thos . M . Johnson P . M . The working tools o £ this degree were in the hands of the S . W ., whilst Bro . T . W . McGill P . M . rendered the Traditional History to Bro . Pitt and others .
We have only praise to bestow upon the ceremonial , for every detail was performed with a carefulness and precision which denoted studious interest in the work . Bro . Millson S . W . proved in a , very marked degree his efficiency as second Officer , and from remarks afterwards made has more than justified the choice of the Brethren in appointing him to the position ,
