Reports Of Meetings.
Wednesday evening , 4 th inst ., at fche Streatham Hall , after having fully verified the anticipations of its Founders that it would prove a great success . After the Lodge had been opened , and the minutes of the previous regular and emergency meetings confirmed , the balance-sheet , which showed a very satisfactory position of affairs , was adopted . Bro . H . Brooks Marshall W . M . then installed Bro . Charles Cheers Wakefield , F . R . G . S ., as the Master of the Lodgo for the year ensuing , afterwards delivering the addresses , and completing the work of his term of office in a masterly style .
The company concluded the ceremonies of the evening by partaking of a banquet , and honouring fche customary toasts . Bro . H . B . Marshall I . P . M . proposed the toast of the Worshipful Master , and said he was convinced thafc during Bro . Wakefield ' s year of office he would discharge his duties efficiently and well , and would uphold in his daily life the highest traditions of Masonry . In fche Streatham Lodge they endeavoured to carry out the highest ideals of Masonry , and he believed that Bro . Wakefield would do much for the Lodge in many respects .
Bro . Wakefield , in responding , said the position of Master was one of great responsibility , bufc yet one that any man might reasonably be proud to occupy . As far as in him lay he would endeavour to perform his duties wifch fervent zeal and untiring effort . He next proposed the toast of the Immediate Past Master and Installing Master , and in doing so presented Bro . Marshall wifch a Past Master ' s jewel . Bro . Marshall , he pointed out , was his Masonic father , and
had guided and instructed him in the mysteries of the Craft . He would strive to imitate him , being sure that imitation was the sincerest compliment . Bro . Marshall , in reply , said his year of office had been most pleasant . He had been most loyally supported by his Officers . He should always value the jewel just presented to him . If he had been of any service to the Lodge he was amply repaid , and he could assure tbe Brethren that , whether as P . M . or as a humble member of the Lodge , he would always try to promote its best interests .
PEOVINGIAL . EGERTON LODGE , No . 1030 . THE last meeting , recently held at the George Hotel , Heaton Norris , was mainly occupied in selecting the forthcoming principal Officer , and in presenting a jewel to a deserving member of the Lodge . Bro . W . A . Bacon S . W . was unanimously chosen as W . M . Bro . Thos . Knott P . M . Secretary was presented with a past Secretary ' s jewel , which bore the following inscription : —
Presented to BHO . THOMAS KNOTT P . M . by the members of the Lodge , in recognition of his services as Secretary , since October 1893 . 18 th September 1899 . After the close of the Lodge business the Brethren adjourned to supper this being followed by the usual 'Loyal and Masonic toasts .
LIBERTY OF HAVERING LODGE , No . 1437 . THE annual installation was held on the 28 th ult ., when Bro . J . Boreham W . M . installed Bro . Fred . A . Stratford as his successor in the chair . Bro . J . S . Hammond was elected to represent the Lodge on the Essex
Charity Committee . The banquet was afterwards served in first-rate style at the Golden Lion Hotel by Bro . P . Reynolds . The W . M . presided over a company numbering nearly sixty .
During the evening Bro . Boreham was presented with a Past Master ' s jewel , and Bro . John Spencer with a framed testimonial , in recognition of their work for the Lodge .

M ., tho working tools being presented and admirably described by Bro . S . H . Stubbs J . W .
The election of W . M . for the ensuing year then took place , Bro . Sam Luke S . W . being unanimously selected for this position , and his installation will take place on Monday , 27 th November .
ECCLESBURNE LODGE , No . 2425 . rpHE seventh anniversary was held a few days since , when Bro . C . A . X Holloway was installed as W . M . There was a numerous attendance
of members of the Lodge , as well as Visiting Brethren . The installation ceremony was ably performed by Bro . A . W . Allen , the charge to tbe Brethren being impressively given by Bro . Dr . Hoskyns . The new Master appointed and invested his Officers .
The Brethren subsequently dined together at the White Hart Hotel , Duffield , Host Flanders catering most satisfactorily . The usual toasts were honoured .
