On the removal of the cloth , the usual Loyal and Masonio toasts were ably given by the W . M . Mr . and Mrs . Vivian had the large hall ^ where the banquet was held , tastefully decorated with rare and exotic plants .

Prince Leopold Lodge of Instruction , No . 1445 . — Held at the Mitford Tavern , Sandringham-road , Daiston , on Monday , 10 th Jannary . The chair was . taken by Bro . Franckel J . W . of 780 , supported by Bros . W . H . Myers Preceptor I . P . M ., Seymonr-Clarke ( Secretary ) S . W ., Crane J . W ., Goddard , Partridge , McDonald , Robson , Kimbell , Loring , Hildreth , Brevetor , Hills , and others . After

preliminaries , Bro . Hills was questioned and entrusted , and afterwards passed to the s ° cond degree . Bro . McDonald then worked the first section , assisted by Bro . Kimberley ; also the second and third sections , assisted by the brethren . Bro . Curtice Hills was elected a member , and Bro . Seymour-Clarke elected W . M . for Monday next , when the

third degree will be rehearsed . The Fifteen Sections will be worked in this Lodge on Monday , 24 th inst ., at 7 p . m . by Bro . Musto P . M . 1349 , supported by Bros . Barnes as S . W . and Cundick as J . W . These names alone are sufficient to vouch that the working will be all that can be desired .

Hemming Lodge , No . 1512 , Hampton . —An emergency meeting of this Lodge took place ou Thursday , the 6 th instant . Bro . T . W . Ockenden W . M . presided , supported by Bros . Hopwood P . M . Treasnrer as S . W ., Albert Marvin J . W . 1763 as J . W ., W . Hammond P . M . Secretary , Hiscox S . D ., J . E . Hunt 1768 acting I . G ., and other brethren . A communication was received from the R . W . Bro .

Colonel Sir F . Burdett Prov . Grand Master of Middlessx , regretting his inability to attend ; apologies were sent by the two Wardens , who were absent through illness , and the J . D . pleaded pressure of business . Lodge was opened in the three degrees , and closed to the first , by which time Bros . Crofts and Jackson , candidates for passing , were in readiness for the ceremony , and in due course advanced . The W . M . worked the lecture on the Tracing-board . A candidate

for initiation , elected last month , was not present . Two gentlemen were successfully ballotted for as candidates for the benefit of Masonio light , and their initiation will take place at a subsequent meeting , the W . M . having announced , on the occasion of his installation , that he should not , except under the most urgent circumstances , initiate any gentlemen on the night of their election . The Lodge was closed with solemn prayer , and in perfect harmony , and adjourned until Thursday next , the 20 th inst ., at 6 . 15 p . m .

Rothesay Lodge , No . 1687 . —A regular meeting of the above Lodge was held on the 5 th inst ., at the Inna of Court Hotel , under the presidency of Bros . J . B . Docker W . M ., Crossland S . W ., E . Durefc J . W ., L . Beck P . M . P . P . G . O . Middlesex Treas ., F . Green acted as Secretary , in the unavoidable absence of Bro . W . C Parsons P . M ., Livermore S . D ., F . Green sen . J . D ., Valeriani I . G ., Wallis W . S .,

Lloyd D . C , F . V . Green A . D . C ., Borrow Org . ; and Bros . Farr , Shaw , Carthew , Duchez , Wallace , Adams , Wells . The Lodge was formally opened , and the minutes of last meeting were confirmed . Bro . Wallis was invested with the collar of W . S ., and Bro . F . V . Green A . D . C . Ballots were taken for the admission of Messrs . Jerrold Joseph and F . Colepepper , which were unanimousl y in their favonr .

Messrs . F . Thorne ( previously accepted ) , J . Joseph , aud Colepepper beinsr in attendance were duly initiated into the Order . The W . M . rendered the ceremony in a very impressive manner . The Lodge was closed , and the brethren sat down to a banquet and dessert , provided by Bro . Walter Gosden , that gave every satisfaction . Grace having been said , the W . M . proposed the usual Loyal and Masonic toasts . Bro . L . Beck P . M . said , all were aware that he had the privilege

of proposing the toast of the W . M ., who was tho fourth Master of the Lodge . All the members could see bow ably he had worked the ceremony , and all hoped that success would continue to attend bis efforts . He would now call on the brethren to drink his health , and wish him a happy New Year . Miss Beck , a pupil of Bro . L . Beck P . M ., here sang "The Fisher Lad , " and accompanied herself on the piano . The W . M ., replying , could scarcely find words to express his thanks for the kind expressions of Bro . On the removal of the cloth , the usual Loyal and Masonio toasts were ably given by the W . M . Mr . and Mrs . Vivian had the large hall ^ where the banquet was held , tastefully decorated with rare and exotic plants .

Prince Leopold Lodge of Instruction , No . 1445 . — Held at the Mitford Tavern , Sandringham-road , Daiston , on Monday , 10 th Jannary . The chair was . taken by Bro . Franckel J . W . of 780 , supported by Bros . W . H . Myers Preceptor I . P . M ., Seymonr-Clarke ( Secretary ) S . W ., Crane J . W ., Goddard , Partridge , McDonald , Robson , Kimbell , Loring , Hildreth , Brevetor , Hills , and others . After

preliminaries , Bro . Hills was questioned and entrusted , and afterwards passed to the s ° cond degree . Bro . McDonald then worked the first section , assisted by Bro . Kimberley ; also the second and third sections , assisted by the brethren . Bro . Curtice Hills was elected a member , and Bro . Seymour-Clarke elected W . M . for Monday next , when the

third degree will be rehearsed . The Fifteen Sections will be worked in this Lodge on Monday , 24 th inst ., at 7 p . m . by Bro . Musto P . M . 1349 , supported by Bros . Barnes as S . W . and Cundick as J . W . These names alone are sufficient to vouch that the working will be all that can be desired .

Hemming Lodge , No . 1512 , Hampton . —An emergency meeting of this Lodge took place ou Thursday , the 6 th instant . Bro . T . W . Ockenden W . M . presided , supported by Bros . Hopwood P . M . Treasnrer as S . W ., Albert Marvin J . W . 1763 as J . W ., W . Hammond P . M . Secretary , Hiscox S . D ., J . E . Hunt 1768 acting I . G ., and other brethren . A communication was received from the R . W . Bro .

Colonel Sir F . Burdett Prov . Grand Master of Middlessx , regretting his inability to attend ; apologies were sent by the two Wardens , who were absent through illness , and the J . D . pleaded pressure of business . Lodge was opened in the three degrees , and closed to the first , by which time Bros . Crofts and Jackson , candidates for passing , were in readiness for the ceremony , and in due course advanced . The W . M . worked the lecture on the Tracing-board . A candidate

for initiation , elected last month , was not present . Two gentlemen were successfully ballotted for as candidates for the benefit of Masonio light , and their initiation will take place at a subsequent meeting , the W . M . having announced , on the occasion of his installation , that he should not , except under the most urgent circumstances , initiate any gentlemen on the night of their election . The Lodge was closed with solemn prayer , and in perfect harmony , and adjourned until Thursday next , the 20 th inst ., at 6 . 15 p . m .

Rothesay Lodge , No . 1687 . —A regular meeting of the above Lodge was held on the 5 th inst ., at the Inna of Court Hotel , under the presidency of Bros . J . B . Docker W . M ., Crossland S . W ., E . Durefc J . W ., L . Beck P . M . P . P . G . O . Middlesex Treas ., F . Green acted as Secretary , in the unavoidable absence of Bro . W . C Parsons P . M ., Livermore S . D ., F . Lloyd D . C , F . V . Green A . D . C ., Borrow Org . ; and Bros . Farr , Shaw , Carthew , Duchez , Wallace , Adams , Wells . The Lodge was formally opened , and the minutes of last meeting were confirmed . Bro . Wallis was invested with the collar of W . S ., and Bro . F . V . Green A . D . C . Ballots were taken for the admission of Messrs . Jerrold Joseph and F . Colepepper , which were unanimousl y in their favonr .

Messrs . F . Thorne ( previously accepted ) , J . Joseph , aud Colepepper beinsr in attendance were duly initiated into the Order . The W . M . rendered the ceremony in a very impressive manner . The Lodge was closed , and the brethren sat down to a banquet and dessert , provided by Bro . Walter Gosden , that gave every satisfaction . Grace having been said , the W . M . proposed the usual Loyal and Masonic toasts . Bro . L . Beck P . M . said , all were aware that he had the privilege

of proposing the toast of the W . M ., who was tho fourth Master of the Lodge . All the members could see bow ably he had worked the ceremony , and all hoped that success would continue to attend bis efforts . He would now call on the brethren to drink his health , and wish him a happy New Year . Miss Beck , a pupil of Bro . L . Beck P . M ., here sang "The Fisher Lad , " and accompanied herself on the piano . The W . M ., replying , could scarcely find words to express his thanks for the kind expressions of Bro .
