Bro . Jourden opened the Lodge , and rehearsed the investiture of Officers . Bro . Fairclough then assumed command , and , advanoing the Lodge , rehearsed the ceremony of installation , Bro . Rogers P . M . acting as W . M .-elect . Bro . Jourden was elected a member , on the proposition of Bro . Dehane , and suitably acknowledged the compliment paid him in allowing him to occupy the chair during a portion of the meeting . Bro . Rogers P . M . was appointed W . M . for the next meeting .
Bro . Dehane P . M . Preceptor informed the Lodge of the death of Bro . J . W . Belsham P . M . and Treas . of the Westbourne Lodge , No . 733 , and proposed that a letter of condolence should be sent to the widow , which was unanimously agreed to . It was announced that a wreath was sent on behalf of the Lodge of Instruction .

ceremony of passing . Bros . Ball , Norton , and Smith answered questions leading to third degree , the W . M . returned to the chair , resumed and closed the Lodge . A Committee meeting of the Crusaders Charitable Association was then formed , when three ballots were drawn , which resulted in favour of Bros . King , Bolton , and Fletcher .

The ceremony of passing was rehearsed , Bro . Forman candidate . The Auditor ' s report , which showed a balance in favour of the Lodge , was presented by Bro . Scott , received and adopted . The Secretary ' s report for the year showed that : The ' number of subscribing members registered as attending during the year was forty-four , of whom seventeen were annual subscribers . The number of meetings held was thirty-eight , at which twelve new members were elected . The average weekly attendance for the year was eleven . The account of the past year ' s work is as follows :

borough . Fourteen months ago the Earl of Lathom consecrated the Bootle Lodge of Mark Masons , and it has made material progress , The first annual installation meeting since the consecration was held in the County Hall , ' Pembroke Road , Bootle , on Saturday , 1 st inst .

W ., who presided at the opening of the proceedings , was supported by a , large gathering of members and visitors , including many Grand and Provincial Grand Officers .
