We also publish a copy of the address which the Bournemouth Masons presented to His Royal Highness Prince Oscar of Sweden ancl Norway , on his marriage ; in this case also fraternal sentiments have been extended from other centres , while it may fairly be said that the Craft at large gives the young couple its most hearty greeting , and entertains a hope tbat their future life may be of the brightest and happiest . connection witn events wmen nave a few days of each other . Is it possible to believe that expressions like these emanate from men who conspire against good order , the laws of their country , and the rulers of the world ? Or is it possible to believe that such expressions of goodwill as are thus

recorded are insincere , and meant as a cloak to hide the vilest of thoughts and actions ? We cannot imagine such to be the case , and think the dignitaries of the Catholic Church will have some difficulty in maintaining , in face of such actions , the unfavourable opinion they have so long held in regard to the scope and objects of Freemasonry .

It may be mentioned that studies were seriously interrupted by the outbreak of scarlet fever which occurred at the School . The ] most advanced pupil — J . P . G-. Templeman—being withdraw from the examination after his name was sent in .

It will be seen from an announcement elsewhere that a Special General Court of the Governors and Subscribers of the Royal Masonic Institution for Boys has been called for Saturday next , to be held at Freemasons '

Hall , at five o ' clock . The meeting has been called in compliance with a requisition under Law 31 , and the resolutions to be submitted on the occasion have reference to the action of the House Committee , in regard to the case of a lad formerly in the Institution . The brethren

who have signed tho requisition for the meeting desire that a Special Committee be appointed ti inquire into the case , which we may mention has already been hronsrht

nndor the notice of the Governors and Subscribers of the Institution , who at the last monthly mooting expressed confidence in the ability of the House Committee to manage the affairs entrusted to its charce . It is not . our intention

to go fully into the case , which appears to have resolved itself into a quarrel among a certain section of the brethren . Still , we cannot help regretting that the efforts which have been made to induce a settlement of the

grievance have not met , with success . We trust next Saturday ' s meeting will be conducted in a temperate a * id dignified spirit , and that , whatever the result , it may be gracefully accepted by those in the minority .

The monthly meeting of the Committee of Management of the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution was held on Wednesday , at Freemasons' Hall , under the presidency of Bro . Raynham W . Stewart P . G . D . The minutes having

been confirmed , the Secretary reported the death of four annuitants ( two male and two female ) , after which the Warden ' s Report for the past month was read . Brother Terry also reported that at the recent Anniversary Festival

nfthe Institution , at which Bro . Sir George Elliot , Bart ., M . P ., P . G . M . South Wales ( Eastern Division ) presided , donations and subscriptions were announced amounting to £ 15 , 081 18 s 6 d , with ten lists then outstanding ; this sum

had been since increased to £ 15 , 200 16 s od . It was directed thafc the vote of thanks , on vellum , to be presented to the Chairman for his valuable services on the occasion , should be engrossed forthwith . Two applications by the widows of deceased annuitants for the half of their late

husband ' s annuities having been granted—subject in one case , however , to the production of the certificate of the husband ' s burial—other bnsiness was despatched , and the Committee adjourned , after the usual vote of thanks to the Chairman .

The meeting of the West Middlesex Lodge of Instruction , No . 1612 , which we last week referred to as arranged for Thursday , at tho Ealing Dean Public Hall , was duly held , and proved a great snecess . Bro . Frederick Binckes

rehearsed the ceremony of consecration , and was attentively listened to by representatives of tho two Ealing Lodges , as well as by a number of Visitors from other parts . The Wardens' chairs were respectively filled by

Bro . E . J . Acworth P . M . 1612 , and an officer of the Haven Lodge . No . 2022 . Bro . Gabb officiated as Secretary ; Bro . Charles Andrews P . M . 77 as Director of Ceremonies ( in the unavoidable absence of Bro . W . M . Stiles , caused

through the crit ' eal illness of an old friend ) ; and Brother Cotton P . M . 382 as Inner Guard . Bro . W . W . Morgan P . M . 211 delivered the Oration , while the musical arrangements were under the direction of Bro . W . C . Hall I . P . M .

382 . The rehearsal of the installation ceremony followed , Bro . H . Kasner P M . 1612 acting as the W . M . elect . The brethren of the West Middlesex Lodge of Instruction are

to be congratulated on the success of this meeting ; nearly one hundred brethren were present . The arrangements for the comfort of those in attendance were most complete .

Bro . Myles Fenton , the general manager of the South Eastern Riilway , with other brethren , waited upon the Princess of Wales , at Marlborough House , on Tuesday afternoon , and , on behalf of the Freemaions of Surrey and Kent , presented Her Royal Highness with a valuable Brinsmead nianoforte .

The Fifteen Sections will be worked in the New Finsbury Park Lodge of Instrnction , No . 1695 , at the Hornsey Wood Tavern , Seven Sisters Road , N ., on Tuesday , the 27 th instant , at 7 p . m . We shall give further particulars in our next issue .
