CONSECRATIONS .

FYLOE LODGE . rinHIS new Lodge , which is numbered 2758 on the Register 1 of the Grand Lodge of . England , and is intended to be limited to members of the professions—Army , Navy , Church , Medicine , Law , and graduates of Universities—was consecrated on Friday afternoon , 2 nd inst ., at the Palatine Hotel , Blackpool .

The consecration was carried out by the Grand Secretary Bro . E . Letchworth , who afterwards installed the Earl of Lathom Provincial Grand Master West Lancashire as the first ruler of the Lodge . The local and visiting Brethren , to the number of about

sixty , afterwards sat down to a most sumptuous banquet which was arranged in the management ' s high-class style , and served up in the most commendable fashion . Loyal and Masonic toasts , interspersed with songs , glees , and instrumental selections , followed .

At the invitation of the managers , Lord Lathom and a few of the Brethren afterwards visited the Tower , the Alhambra , and the Winter Gardens . At the Tower

menagerie the Earl christened the lion cub which was recently born , " Lady Lathom . " At the Alhambra , at night , Lord Lathom occupied the opera box and was cordially welcomed by the manager and a large audience .

ARTS LODGE .

A NEW Lodge , for the convenience of professors of the arts of sculpture and painting , was consecrated on Tuesday , at i reemasons' Hall , London , by the G . Secretary Bro . E . Letchworth , who was assisted by the following Grand Officers : —Rear Admiral W . H . C . St . Clair , Dr .
