REPORTS OF MEETINGS .

We shall be pleased to receive particulars of Masonic meetings for insertion in our columns , and -where desired will endeavour to send a representative to report Xiodge or other proceedings .

CEAET : PEOVINCIAL .

MEDINA LODGE , No . 35 . ON Thursday , 9 th inst ., the installation of Bro . 0 . Brown took place in the Freemasons' Hall , High Street , Cowes , the event proving a perfect success . Worshipful Master Bro . G . Fellows sen . carried through the preliminary

business , and also the ceremony of raising one of the Brethren , and afterwards vacated the chair , which was taken by Bro . T . W . Faulkner P . P . G . J . W . ( the oldest member of the Lodge ) , by whom the ceremony of installation was most impressively performed .

The Lodge having been closed , the Brethren adjourned to the Gloster Hotel , where a sumptuous banquet was provided by Bro . G . A . Mursell , whose reputation in this department is known and appreciated the wide world o ' er .

SUN , SQUARE AND COMPASS LODGE , No . 119 . AT the ordinary monthly meeting at Whitehaven , on Monday , 6 th inst ., Bro . Past Master Studholme P . P . G . P ., who has since left for Africa , was unanimously made an honorary member of the Lodge , and was presented with a centenary jewel .

UNITY LODGE , No . 132 . THE annual installation and festival was held on Thursday , 9 th inst ., at the Masonic Hall , Bingwood , when Bro . S . Minty ( Bournemouth ) was installed as W . M . for the year by Bro . H . J . Atkins P . P . S . G . W . Mr . J . C . Baines and Mr . George Eoberts were enrolled as new members . The customary banquet followed .

BRUNSWICK LODGE , No . 159 . THE members held their annual banquet at the Masonic Hall , Plymouth , on Tuesday , 7 th inst ., when Bro . J . Endicott presided over a large attendance . After partaking of an excellent repast , provided in first rate style by the Steward Brother Harvey , a number of toasts were given , each being heartily

received . The Secretary Brother W . Eadmore referred to the present satisfactory position of the Lodge , both as regards its' membership and its finances . The evening was rendered very enjoyable by a number of songs , recitations , and other entertainments .

ETONIAN LODGE , No . 209 . THE installation meeting was held at the Castle Hotel , Windsor , on Tuesday , 7 th inst ., when the installation took place of Bro . F . Purkess as W . M . The Mayor of Windsor Bro . B . Westlake was the principal visitor at the subsequent banquet .

LODGE OF FORTITUDE , No . 281 . THE installation meeting of this centenary Lodge was held at the Masonic Hall , Church Street , Lancaster , on Wednesday , 8 th inst . The minutes having been read and confirmed , and the Auditor ' s report adopted , the Master-elect Bro . C . Grime was presented and installed into the chair by Bro . J . Heald .

After the ceremony the Brethren adjourned to the King ' s Arms Hotel , when a recherche repast was supplied .

BENEVOLENT LODGE , No . 303 . THE regular monthly meeting was held at the Masonic Hall , Teignmouth , on Monday , 13 th inst . Bro . F . E . Little , M . D ., Senior Warden was unanimously elected W . M . for the ensuing year , Brother F . C . Hallett P . M .

P . P . G . S . D . Treasurer , and Bro . Robbins Tyler . A vote of two guineas was accorded a deserving and necessitous case brought to the knowledge of this Lodge by the Lodge of Virtue and Honour , No . 494 , Axminster .

The annual installation was fixed for half-past four o ' clock on the 10 th February , to be followed by a banquet at Bro . H . A . McBrydes , London Hotel , at 6 .

BROTHERLY LOVE LODGE , No . 329 . THE members celebrated the festival of St . John at the new Masonic Hall , Yeovil , on Wednesday , 8 th inst ., when Brother C . J . Hook S . W . was installed into the chair , Bro . E . 0 . Else P . G . D . of England , in the presence of several past Provincial Officers and a large number of members of the Lodge , impressively performing the ceremony .

A banquet was afterwards held afc tbe Choughs Hotel , presided over by the W . M ., a good number of Brethren being present . The customary toasts were given .

HARMONY LODGE , No . 372 . THE members celebrated the festival of St . John on Wednesday , 8 th inst ., at Budleigh Salfcerton . Bro . C . W . Leyman S . W . was ably installed W . M . by Bro . W . Britton , and invested his Officers . The Brethren adjourned to the Feathers Hotel , where an excellent banquet was served .

GUYS LODGE , No . 395 . THE Brethren held their festival at the Masonic Eooms , Leamington , on Monday , 6 th inst ., when Bro . Albert E . Overell was installed W . M . for the ensuing year . After the ceremony banquet was served .

LOYAL INDUSTRY LODGE , No . 421 . ON the 7 th inst . Bro . Joseph Kingdon P . P . G . P . was installed W . M . by Bro . W . Oram P . P . D . C . at Southmolton . During the installation , Brother C . Blagbro , a visitor from a Yorkshire

Lodge , rendered the solo from " St . Paul , " " Be thou faithful unto death , " in fine style . At the annual banquet , which followed , a pleasant evening was spent .

LODGE OF SYMPATHY , No . 483 . AN ordinary meeting was hold at the Eoyal Clarendon Hotel , Gravesend , on the 8 th inst ., when tho W . M . Bro . Henry Forss presided , being supported by his Officers and the following Brethren : —Arthur Eonaldson

P . P . G . A . S ., Henry Doughty P . P . G . S . B ., E . J . Beamish P . A . G . D . C , T . T . Hogg P . M ., J . P . Moore P . M ., J . P . White P . M ., William Hawker , J . N . Willis , A . J . Walklin , T . Galler , J . C . Aylen , E . Ingman , and J . Baldock .

Visitors : —George Naylor P . M . 20 , Frank Hitchen P . M ., Thos . Wingrove P . M ., Lockhart , & c . The Lodge was opened by Bro . Forss , and the minutes of the last meeting confirmed . The ballot was taken and proved unanimous in favour

of Mr . William Wilson , but as ho was unavoidably absent , his initiation was postponed . Bros . T . A . Mummery and 0 . P . Bowen were passed as Fellow Crafts , and Bros . C . E . Betts and Alfred White were raised to the sublime degree . Both the ceremonies wore ably rendered by Bro . Forss . Two candidates were proposed for the next meeting .

We have frequently referred to the steady advancement of this Lodge , and it is pleasing to notice that it is now proposed to apply for a warrant to establish a Eoyal Arch Chapter in connection with it . As Bro . Forss is

already P . Z . there can be but little doubt that it will be successful under his direction . There is only one Chapter now held at Gravesend , the Hermes attached to the Lodge of Freedom , No . li , but we believe there is no member of a Gravesend Lodge belonging to it .

ST . MARTIN LODGE , No . 510 . ON Tuesday , 7 th inst ., at Liskeard , Bro . R . Fiull was installed W . M . by Bro . W . Hammond I . P . M . The banquet was subsequently held at Webb ' s Hotel .

LODGE OF THE MARCHES , No . 611 . ON Wednesday , 8 th inst ., the annual installation and banqueb took place in the Town Hall , Ludlow , when Brother Eichard de C . Peele was installed .

LODGE OF CONCORD , No . 632 . ON Monday , 13 th inst ., at Trowbridge , with the customary ceremonial , Bro . G . Snailum S . W . was installed as Worshipful Master for the year .

ST . MARY LODGE , No . 707 . ST . John ' s Day was celebrated in the usual way by the Brethren , at ' Bridport , when Bro . H . N . Cox was installed as W . M . by Bro . Blarney P . M . The banquet was afterwards held in the Masonic Hall , the caterer being Bro . F . Loveless , who gave the greatest satisfaction .

ROYAL BRUNSWICK LODGE , No . 732 . THE annual meeting was held at the Eoyal Pavilion , Brighton , on Thursday , 9 th inst ., when Bro . J . H . Smith was installed W . M . for the ensuing year , the ceremony being impressively performed by the retiring Master Bro . T . Billing P . P . J . G . W .

The Lodge having been closed , the Brethren adjourned to the banqueting room , -where they sat down under the presidency of the new Worshipful Master .

DUNHEVED LODGE , No . 789 . THE festival of St . John was celebrated on Tuesday , 7 th inst ., at Launceston , when Bro . Frederick Trimmer S . W . was impressively installed W . M . by Bro . Dr . Wm . Andrew , who was re-elected Steward to the Cornwall Masonic Charity Association .

The Brethren adjourned to the dining hall , where they sat down to an admirable banquet , served by Mrs . Burt , whose catering gave the greatest satisfaction . During the evening songs were contributed by several of the Brethren , accompanied on the organ by Bro . Kendall .

WEAR VALLEY LODGE , No . 1121 , ON Friday , 10 th inst ., the annual festival took place , when Bro . Joseph Eoutledge Dixon was installed by the outgoing Master Bro . E . C . De Lacey , M . B . The installing Master was assisted in his duties by a large board of Past Masters from the Wear Valley and neighbouring Lodges .

After business the annual banquet took place at the Wear Valley Hotel , after which the usual toasts followed , the harmony of the evening being contributed to by several Brethren .

o o o BRIDGEWATER LODGE , No . 1213 . THE annual festival was held at the Lodge room , F . cclos , on the 9 th inst . Thc balance sheet was presented and approved . It showed that £ 56 4 s
