The ceremony of initiation was rehearsed , Bro . Potter acting as candidate . Bro . Woolfers answered the usual questions and was entrusted , and the ceremony of passing was rehearsed . The first section of the second lecture was worked by the Brethren , under the direction of the Preceptor , and the Lodge was resumed to the first degree .

Bro . K . M . Ross , of the Paxton Lodge , who is well known in the district was unanimously elected to occupy the chair of W . M . at the next meeting . Bros . E . Anthony and E . Anthony jun ., of the Blackwater Lodge , No . 1977 , ( father and son ) , were unanimously elected members .

Nice gave the lecture on the tracing board , without the slightest mistake , and to the great satisfaction of the Brethren . Bro . Cunningham offered himself as candidate and the ceremony of raising was rehearsed . Bro . D . H . Kyd will preside on Monday next .

The ceremony of initiation was rehearsed , Bro . Sassience as candidate , and the same Brother answered the questions leading to the second degree . The W . M . vacated the chair in favour of Bro . M . DaCosta , who opened the Lodge in the second degree , and the ceremony of passing was rehearsed . The Lodge was resumed to the first degree , and the W . M . having taken his chair Bro . Moss P . M ., with the assistance of the Brethren , worked the first section of the lecture . Bro . Lotheim was elected W . M . for next Thursday .

It was proposed and unanimously carried that the sum of £ 1 Is be handed to the Lady Jeune ' s fund for poor children , and the generous present of the Lodge was duly acknowledged by Brother Capt . Friend , on behalf of the Association . The Fifteen Sections will be worked in this Lodge , on Thursday , 13 th April .

M . give the traditional history in a faultless manner , which earned the applause of the Brethren . Lodge was resumed to the first degree . Bro . S . W . Keene was unanimously elected to occupy the chair of W . M . at the next meeting .

The W . M . expressed the pleasure it gave himself and the Brethren to welcome Bro . H . T . Johnson amongst them again , after his late severe illness .

Bro . Dehane Preceptor proposed that a vote of thanks be recorded on the minutes for the able manner in which the W . M . had fulfilled the duties of the chair for the first time in the Lodge , which compliment was briefly acknowledged . Bro . Halston was elected to preside on Tuesday , 28 th inst ., the following Tuesday being Officers' night , and Tuesday the 21 st the date for the Annual Supper .

The Lodge was opened in that degree , and the ceremony of raising was rehearsed . This and the former ceremony , including the ancient charge , was perfectly rendered .

entrusted Bro . Leapbard , and then rehearsed the ceremony oi passing . The W . M . resumed the Lodge to the first degree . Bro . Penrose Preceptor proposed that a hearty vote of congratulation be recorded on the minutes for the able manner in which tbe W . M . has fulfilled his duties for the first time in this Lodge . This was unanimously agreed to and the compliment was acknowledged in appreciative terms .

DINNER OF THE TEMPLE LODGE OF INSTRUCTION . THE first annual dinner in connection with this Lodge , No . 101 , was held at the Uplands Hotel , Dulwich , on Thursday , 2 nd inst . TheLoclge was opened in due form by Bro . Stephen Lee W . M . Bro . Plant Preceptor worked the second section of the first lecture , assisted by the Brethren . The

Lodge was afterwards closed to allow of an adjournment to the dining room . Bro . Dowsett P . M . here presided . Taking into consideration that tho Lodge is only in its infancy , a very large number of prominent Masons wero present . The menu was par excellence , and served in good style by Bro . Abel . Toast and song occupied the remainder of the evening .

npHE usual monthly meeting of the West London Masonic Election Associ-X ation was held on Thursday , 2 nd inst ., at the Town Hall Tavern Kensington , and was numerously attended .
