NOTICES OF MEETINGS .

— : o : — POLISH NATIONAL LODGE , No . 534 . THE usual meeting of tke above Lodge took place on Thursday , 10 th instant , at the Freemasons' Tavern , Great Qneen-street under the presidency of Bro . Lancaster I . P . M ., who acted as W . M . during the unavoidable absence of Bro . E . T . Smith , ( through illness ) , Runtz S . W ., Bieling J . W ., Bryant S . D ., Tongue J . D ., Banks Tyler . The principal business consisted in passing Bro . Potts , which was performed in a most perfect manner by the VV . M . pro tem .

It was unanimously agreed that the sum of ten guineas should be placed on the list of the worthy Treasurer , Bro . Nowakowski , who had consented to represent the Lodge at the forthcoming Festival for the Old People . This was proposed by Bro . Paas Sec , and seconded by Bro . Apsey . It was also agreed to place Bro . St . Nowakowski on the list as a country member of the Lodge , he having removed

to Brighton . Bye-law No . 9 was altered ; this change will make the visiting fee for the installation banquet 15 s instead of 10 s 6 d as before . AN other bnsiness being ended , Lodge was closed in the nsnal manner , and the brethren adjourned to partake of a modest supper . After the nsual Loyal toasts had been responded to , the acting W . M . proposed the health of the absent W . M ., and hoped that he might soon be restored to health , and be again amongst

them . This was most heartily received . The W . M . proposed the health of the Visitor , Bro . W . Little , Metropolitan Lodge , No . 1507 , who responded , and thanked the brethren for the entertainment afforded him . The following P . M . ' s were present—Bros . Lancaster , Dr . Oorrie Jackson , Dr . Victor Jngnelski , Rath , Paas Secretary , Nowakowski Treasurer . The members likewise had to regret the absence of their Oganist , Bro . Bell , through illness .

HONOR OAK LODGE , No . 1986 . A REGULAR meeting of this Lodge was held on Wednesday , the - £ * - 9 th inst ., at tho Moore Park Hotel , Honor Oak , when the W . M ., Bro . Walter Hopekirk P . winokle . Visitors—Bros . Letohford and Bartlett . Lodge was opened in due form , ancl the Secretary read tho minutes of the previous meeting , which wero duly coutirnictl . The ballot was taken for three candidates ; it proved uuantmoue , and the W . M . initiated these gentlemen ( Messrs . James Fuller , Thomas Letchford aud Robert N ' eilans ) into the mysteries and privileges of ancient Freemasonry .

Lodge was opened in the secoud , and Bro . Gilbert proved hia qualifications , and was entrusted . Lodge was further advanced , and Bro . Gilbert was raised by the W . M . to the snblimo degree of Master Mason . This meeting being the last of the current year , the elections for W . M ., Treasurer and Ty ler were made according to the ) Bye-laws of the Lodge . Bro . John Hammond S . W . expressed hia

desire to waive any claim he might have upon the brethren for pro' motion to tho chair iu favour of Bro . Phillips , so that the Junior Officers to himself might the sooner be able to obtain the chair of K . S ., whioh he had already filled several times . Other brethren who were similarly eligible also withdrew their names , and the ballot ) proved unanimous in favour of Bro . 0 . H . Phillips J . W . The W . M .

elect acknowledged , in a few earnest words , the honour done him by the brethren , and trusted he might be able to emulate ( he could not hope to equal ) the excellent work of their present W . M . ( Bro . , Hopekirk ) . He ( Bro . Phillips ) as well as those who would follow him in after years were indebted to Bro . Hammond for his self , denial in giving them the opportunity of advancing at least one year

earlier than they could have expected , aud he trusted the Lodge would recognise this and Bro . Hammond ' s other valuable services in some suitable manner , at an early date . Bro . Hopekirk W . M . waa then elected Treasurer of the Lodge . Bro . C . Thomas P . G . Tyler Herts was re-elected Tyler . It was proposed by Bro . Darch P . M . Asst . W . S ., aud seconded by Bro . John Hammond S . W ., and resolved

unanimously , that a Past Master's jewel be presented to Bro . Walter Hopekirk W . M . on the completion of his year of office as a mark of esteem of the brethren , and in appreciation of his valued services to the Lodge . Firstly , as a Founder , and secondly , as its first W . M . Bros . Bartlett and Cullen were proposed as joining members . After routine business had been transacted , Lodge was closed in due form , and adjourned in perfect harmony . An excellent repast was

afterwards partaken of , supplied by the worthy host , Bro . Bye . Time did not admit of many speeches , but the usual Loyal and Masonic toasts were received most heartily . Bros . Crofts and Simons , with others , favoured the brethren with several songs and pieces of much boaaty . Bro . Williams , the Secretary , officiated as pianist , and Bro . R . Ralli Johnston proved a most efficient Director of Music .

Percy Lodge of Instruction ., No . 108 . —Held at the Jolly Farmers ' , Southgate-road , N ., on the 12 th inst . Bros . Ferrar W . M ., Harding S . W ., Liebman J . W ., Ashton S . D ., Rhodes J . D ., O'Donnell I . G ., Pearcy Preceptor , Galer Secretary ; also Bros Mullord , Richardson , Gribhell , Gilderaleve , Bleakley , Turner , Woolveridge , Ockelford , Fenner and Weedon . Lodge was opened in dne

form , and the minutes of last Lodge meeting were read and confirmed . Bro . Turner offered himself as a candidate , was examined , and entrusted . Lodge was opened in the second degree and the ceremony of passing rehearsed . Lodge was closed in the second degree , and the ceremony of initiation rehearsed , Bro . Woolveridge

candidate . Bro . Pearcy worked the first and second sections of the lecture . Bro . Harding was elected W . M . for the ensuing week . A Committee was appointed to make arrangements for the annnal supper . Lodge was closed in ancient form , and adjourned to Saturday , 19 th inst .

M . to the snblimo degree of Master Mason . This meeting being the last of the current year , the elections for W . M ., Treasurer and Ty ler were made according to the ) Bye-laws of the Lodge . desire to waive any claim he might have upon the brethren for pro' motion to tho chair iu favour of Bro . Phillips , so that the Junior Officers to himself might the sooner be able to obtain the chair of K . S ., whioh he had already filled several times . elect acknowledged , in a few earnest words , the honour done him by the brethren , and trusted he might be able to emulate ( he could not hope to equal ) the excellent work of their present W . M . ( Bro . , Hopekirk ) . He ( Bro . Phillips ) as well as those who would follow him in after years were indebted to Bro . Hammond for his self , denial in giving them the opportunity of advancing at least one year

earlier than they could have expected , aud he trusted the Lodge would recognise this and Bro . Hammond ' s other valuable services in some suitable manner , at an early date . Bro . Hopekirk W . M . waa then elected Treasurer of the Lodge . Bro . C . Thomas P . G . Tyler Herts was re-elected Tyler . It was proposed by Bro . Darch P . M . Asst . W . S ., aud seconded by Bro . John Hammond S . W ., and resolved

unanimously , that a Past Master's jewel be presented to Bro . Walter Hopekirk W . M . on the completion of his year of office as a mark of esteem of the brethren , and in appreciation of his valued services to the Lodge . Firstly , as a Founder , and secondly , as its first W . M . Bros . Bartlett and Cullen were proposed as joining members . After routine business had been transacted , Lodge was closed in due form , and adjourned in perfect harmony . An excellent repast was

afterwards partaken of , supplied by the worthy host , Bro . Bye . Time did not admit of many speeches , but the usual Loyal and Masonic toasts were received most heartily . Bros . Crofts and Simons , with others , favoured the brethren with several songs and pieces of much boaaty . Bro . Williams , the Secretary , officiated as pianist , and Bro . R .
