BRIGHTON LODGE , No . 426 . THE annual installation meeting of the brethren was held at tbr Royal Pavilion , on the 8 th inst ., when Bro . W . Gill was installed W . M . for the ensuim : year . The W . M . appointed and invested his Officers . Bro . R . Willard the retiring W . M . was presented with a Past Master ' s jewel . On the closing of the Lodge

the brethren sat down to a banqnet , at whioh the customary Loyal and Masonio toasts were duly honoured . During the evening a musical programme was sustained by Miss Maud Bond , Bro . H . Dyer , Bro . R . Clowes , Mr . L . Mennich , and Mr . T . Lynes , vocalists ; and Mr . Lewis Mennich , violin solo . Tho duties of accompanist were carried out by Bro . H . S . Gates . A recitation WBB also given by Bro . J . A . Thilthorne .

ST . DAVID'S LODGE , No . 679 . ACCORDING to custom the annnal Festival was held on Tuesday , 1 st March ( St . David ' s Day ) , at the Masonio Hall , Aberdare . There was an excellent attendance of the members of the Craft , and tho Worshipful Master eleot ( Bro . Jolliffo ) was presented by Brother Botting Past Maater The members present were : —Bros . confirmed . The ballot was taken for Messrs . Edward Dewsbnry and Walter Lees and announced favourable , after which the brethren adjourned to one of those celebrated teas « , la fourchette for which Mrs . Toulmin the courteous hostess is celebrated . After tea the brethren re-assembled in the Lodge room , Brother McKellen occupying the chair of King Solomon ,

and initiating Mr . Dewsbnry into the mysteries and privileges of Freemasonry . Subsequently Mr . Lees had a similar honour conferred upon him by tho Worshipful Master , who presented tbe working tools to both candidates , after which the Lodge was closed in peace and harmony . At the social board the health of the Initiates was proposed and heartily drank , both brethreu responding . The health

of Bro . Jones P . M . P . P . G . S ., who h'id been indisposed for a considerable time , wa 3 proposed by Bro . Gillman , who congratulated hir npon hia recovery , and expressed tho pleasure every member o the Lodge felt at seeing him again amongst them . Brother Jones having replied in appropriate terms , tho health of tho visiting

brethren was proposed aud heartily drank , several of tbo nnmber responding . Other toasts , including tho Worshipful Master , thr Officers , & c , ivcro proposed and responded to , a thorongh'ly enjoyable evening being spent-, largely owing to the Oldham brethren . who contributed some capital songs and gleea , which wero well rcn . dered and applauded .

ST . DUNSTAN'S LODGE , No . 1589 . rilHE installation moating was held at Anderton ' s Hofcol , Pleat-A street , on Wednesday , 2 " 'W . i nit ., when Bro . Waiter Wellsman completed bis second year of offico aa Master , ho having previously occupied tho chair in 1877 . There was u good attendance o ! Brethren when Lodge was opened . The retiring Master presented the Lodge with a set of Officers' collars , to mark his appreciation of tho support he had received from the members in office during the past year . Bro . Moore W . M ., on behalf of the Lodge , then presented to Bro . Wellsman a handsome piece of plate , bearing the following inscription : " Presented to Bro .

Walter Wellsman P . M ., by tho Brethren of St . Dunstan a Lodge , No . 1589 , as a mark of their esteem and regard , and in appreciation of the able manner iu which he discharged , for the second time , the duties of Worshipful Master . " Bro . Wellsman briefly acknowledged tho presentation , and the proceedings terminated , the company adjourning to the banquet .

EBORACUM LODGE , No . 1611 . ON Wednesday , the 24 th nit ., the brethren , together with their friends , participated in a most successful and enjoyable social function in the form of an evening party in the De Grey Rooms , the proceeds of which are to be devoted to the Educational fund of the North and East Ridings of Yorkshire . The arrangements for the gathering , which was originally fixed for and postponed from the

20 th January , on account of the death of the Duke of Clarence and Avondale , were entrusted to the Past Masters and Officers of the Lodge , with the Worshipful Master Bro . W . Storey as Chairman , and those gentlemen performed their duties with the utmost satisfaction toevety-ouo cvmcevwvl . The room was suitably decorated for the

ocoasion , the splendid oak furniture of the Ledge being requisitioned for tho purpose . The entrance hall and staircase were ornamented with ohoice plants supplied by Mr . Key , of Bootham , and were also adorned with the various banners and standards of the Lodge . By a speoial dispensation of the Right Worshipful the Deputy Provincial

Grand Maater , the brethren were allowod to wear Masonio clothing and jewels . A capital floor had beeu prepared for tho dancers , and when the dancing was at its height the scene was a most effective and picturesquo one . Eighty coaples were present . Bros . J . Smith G . A . Chapmnn , and W . Sharp ably officiated as M . C . ' s , A . Aroher ,

and F . II . Vaughan as Stewards , and F . W . Halliwell and J . L . Spetch as Secretaries . Light refreshments were served at intervals during the evening . The proceedings were kept np with great spirit nntil an early hour next morning , and passed off with the greatest enjoyment and pleasure to those present . The music for the dancing was supplied by Mr . Toes' band .

WALLINGTON LODGE , No . 1892 . THE annnal installation meeting of this Lodge was held on Thnrsday , at the Public Hall , Carshalton , when a largo nnmber of brethren assombled to witness the interesting ceremony . answered the nsnal questions , was duly obligated . A Board of Installed Masters having been formed , Bro . Ward was formally inducted into the chair of K . S ., according to ancient . custom . Bro . Norton , in response , said that ho should regard the jewel as a teatimonial from tbo brethren that ho bad dono his duty . The resignation of two brethren was

accepted , with regret , and tho Lodgo was closed in perfect harmony . Tho banqnet waa held at the Greyhound Hotel , and refleoted credit upon Bro . Verdun , being admirably served and much appreciated . The usual Loyal and Masonic toasts were duly honoured , tho P . G . Master expressed tbo pleaanro he felt at his first visit to the Wellington Lodge , and said that in no Lodge had

ha siecn tho work battor or more perfectly carried out . Bro . Fred . West D . P . G . M . Raid ho was glad to neo another Master added to the roll of tho province , and complimented tho brethren on the manner in which the work had been performed . Ho was sure that all would wcrk well together for the credit of the Lodge , and was

pleased to see tho Lodge so well represented in Provincial honours . Tbe P . G . Mr . 3 tsr in eulogistic terms proposed the health of the new W . M ., who , in reply , said that Freemasonry was cot a thing to be played with ; if a man were a good Mason he must bo a good man . He would try to do his dnty to the best of his ability , and hoped to obtain tho appreciation of the brethren . In roply to the toast of his

accepted , with regret , and tho Lodgo was closed in perfect harmony . Tho banqnet waa held at the Greyhound Hotel , and refleoted credit upon Bro . Verdun , being admirably served and much appreciated . The usual Loyal and Masonic toasts were duly honoured , tho P . G . Master expressed tbo pleaanro he felt at his first visit to the Wellington Lodge , and said that in no Lodge had

Raid ho was glad to neo another Master added to the roll of tho province , and complimented tho brethren on the manner in which the work had been performed . Ho was sure that all would wcrk well together for the credit of the Lodge , and was

pleased to see tho Lodge so well represented in Provincial honours . Tbe P . G . Mr . 3 tsr in eulogistic terms proposed the health of the new W . M ., who , in reply , said that Freemasonry was cot a thing to be played with ; if a man were a good Mason he must bo a good man .
