Tho Tyler's toast closed a most pleasant and enjoyable meeting . During the evening an excellent program me of music was provided , the following adding greatly to the enjoyment of the Brethren with songs and recitations : Miss Bessie Glenistar , Bros . Johnson , Vernon , McNeil , Hinde , Rix , Redgrave . The musical arrangements were under the direction of Bro . W . Windsor Organist of the Lodge .

M ., Langdon S . W ., Town J . W ., R . H . Williams P . M . Prec , Stewart S . D ., Dhmis J . D ., Dowling I . G ., Johnson Assist . Sec , Ridley , Allen , Botley , Aldington , Archer , Jacob , Wilcox , Hall .

The W . M . rohearsed the ceremony of initiation , Bro . Ridley acting as candidate . Lodge was called off and on . The W . M . vacated the chair in favour of Bro . Justin Allen W . M ., who rehearsed the ceremony of passing , Bro . Archer acting as candidate . It was proposed by Bro . H . T . Johnson , seconded by Bro . Aldington , and carried unanimously , that a vote of condolence should be sent to the widow of Bro . D . Rawlings , late Inspector of Police , on her bereavement .

The Lodge was opened in the three degrees , and the ceremony of installation was rehearsed , Lodge being resumed as required . The Officers were invested . Bro . Lewis then rehearsed the ceremony of initiation , Bro . Davis candidate . The W . M . gave tho charge . Bro . Davis was elected a member , and acknowledged the compliment . Of the Benevolent votes belonging to tho Lodge of Instruction , twenty-six women were given to Bro . Ferguson , aud eight men to Bro . Butters . A vote of thanks was unanimously passed to Bro . Spink , for rehearsing the Installation ceremony for the first time .

PROVINCIAL .

LODGE OF INTEGRITY , No . 163 . THE regular meeting was held at the Freemasons' Hall , Manchester , on Wednesday , 26 th ult ., Bro . Henry Robert Yates W . M ., there being an attendance of about sixty members and visitors . Bro . Henry Edward Massie Secretary having read the minutes of the

last regular meeting , these \ were confirmed , after which the Lodge was advanced , and Bros . Mosely Potasch , Philip Potasch , and Arthur Herbert Jackson were raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason , the first and second by tho W . M ., and the latter by Bro . T . H . Soholfield P . M . P . P . G . Reg . Treasurer .

Allusion was made to the death of Bro . Hugh H . Warburton P . M . P . P . S . G . D ., which took place recently , and it was stated that a letter of condolence had been forwarded to the family . The late Bro . Warburton was highly spoken of , not only as being a very old member of the Lodge , but also as one whose warmest sympathies were ever in accord with the various Masonic Institutions , and whoso untiring energy had for many years been devoted to their interests . The festive board followed , an excellent programme of music , & c , having been provided under the direction of Bro . Fred Whittle Organist .

DUKE OF FIFE CHAPTER , No . 2345 . THE annual installation meeting was held at Anderton's Hotel , on Wednesday , 10 th inst ., and was a complete success , under the presidency of Comp . W . G . Bosweil , M . R . C . V . S ., G . O . V . C , M . E . Z . The minutes were read and eonfimied , and then the work of installation was commenced . A conclave of Principals having been formed , Comp . R . J . Voisey very carefully and impressively installed Comns . S . G . Bonner as ft'I . E . Z ., J . Mitchell as H ., and T . Morris as J .

The Officers invested were Comps . Charlie Woods S . E ., C . J . Fitch S . N ., A . Robertson Treas ., J . Smith P . Soj ., F . W . Sinclair 1 st A . Soj ., and Patrick Janitor . Apology for absence was received from Comp . Geo . Taylor 2 nd A . Soj .-elcct . The report of the Audit Committee was presented by Comps . Wood S . E . and Mitchell H ., and on the proposition of Comps . A . Harvey P . Z . and J . W . Folkard P . Z . was duly received .

The ballot was taken for Bros . Brmdley P . M ., Greatorex I . P . M ., and Innocent S . D ., of the Corinthian Lodge , and proving unanimously in their favour , they were impressively exalted . Correspondence was read , and certain propositions were made , after which the Chapter was closed . The Companions afterwards dined under the presidency of Comp . Bonner M . E . Z ., and enjoyed a repast of a kind that it would be difficult to surpass for excellence . After dinner the usual Loyal and Arch toasts were honoured .

In proposing the Grand Officers , the M . E . Z . pointed out that among their members was Comp . S . Cochrane P . G . Treas ., who had been the first Z . of the Chapter , who had done a very large amount of work in connection

with the Order , and who was always ready and willing to help in any good cause . Comp . Cochrane thanked the Companions for the hearty way in which they had greeted him , also for tho enthusiasm with which they drank his health , when they knew that this was his birthday . He was interested in the Chapter , and should do his very best to further tho cause .

The M . E . Z . was next proposed by Comp . Bosweil P . Z ., who pointed out that Comp . Bonner had been exalted in the Chapter , and had done his work consistently and well in every office that had fallen to his lot . From all that Comp . Bonner had done for the Charities , and his persistent work in that really good cause , they were particularly proud to have him as the First Principal ; and the exemplary way in which he had worked the ceremony that evening augured well for an interesting and successful year .

Comp . Bonner responded in suitable terms , thanking the Companions for their interest , and asking for help on behalf of a candidate at the next Benevolent election . The M . E . Z . proposed the H . and J ., particularly commending the way in which Comp . Mitchell had delivered the symbolical lecture .

Comps . J . Mitchell and T . Morris responded , the lalter saying that the beautiful installation ceremony was sufficient reward for his many years of hard work to reach the office of 3 rd Principal . The M . E . Z . proposed the Exaltees . He pointed out that " Wisdom came from the East . " The new Companions were shining lights " in the East ,. " and consequently would be great acquisitions to the Chapter .

Comps . Brindley , Greatorex , and Innocent responded . In proposing the Installing Principal , the M . E . Z . mentioned how much the Chapter owed to Comp . Voisey . In South London there was no better Mason to be found than their Installing Principal . He was without exception the grandest man in the district . In the Craft , the Arch , Mark , 18 th degree , in fact everywhere in the Order , he was an exemplary worker . They wished him long life and prosperity .

Comp . Voisey , in response , deprecated the unstinted praise that had been bestowed upon him . He only did his duty , and without exception enjoyed the meetings of the Chapter . The M . E . Z proposed the Past Principals . He took this opportunity of presenting Comp . Bosweil with the P . Z . ' s jewel that the Chapter had unanimously agreed to present to him , for the excellent work he had done during the past year .

The M . E . Z . welcomed the Visitors . Comps . Grummant and Stone had aided them in their work that evening . The Visitors had all shown their zeal for the Order . The Visitors responded , saying how much they had enjoyed the ritual treat that had been provided for them . The M . E . Z . proposed the Officers , eulogising their interest and attention to work . Comp . Fitch S . N . responded .

The Janitor ' s toast closed a happy evening , the harmony of which had been increased by the musical efforts of Comps . Barton , Making , Harvey , Sinclair , and Greatorex . Comps . Smith and Grummant recited .

Saturday , 27 th , to Frome , Yeovil , Weymouth , Bath , Bristol , Weston-super-Mare , Taunton , Lynton , Lynmouth , Barnstaple , Ilfracombe , Exeter , Dawlish , Teignmouth , Torquay , Plymouth , Falmouth , Penzance , & c . ; and on Friday night , 2 nd June , to Exeter , Dawlish , Teignmouth , Plymouth , Falmouth , Penzance , & c . Return Tickets will also be issued to Guernsey and Jersey at 24 s 6 d , available by the Boat express leaving Paddington at 9 . 15 p . m . on Saturday nights .
