Lieutenant-Colonel Bindley P . G . D . Eng . Past Deputy Provincial Grand Master , the Earl of Dartmouth , in his capacity of Prov . G . M ., stating
that for the last nine years he had received most valuable aid from the retiring D . P . G . M ., and begging him to accept the illuminated album , with names of 621 donors ; the illuminated address ; the P . D . P . G . M . jewel ; the silver salver , silver waiters , and silver vases , as a mark of esteem and fraternity . Continuing the Prov . G . M . said that subscriptions had been
limited to 5 s , and the result was conclusive as to the feeling of the Craft of the Province . The retiring D . P . G . M . having acknowledged the gifts , some routine business was transacted , and the Brethren adjourned to luncheon at the Council House , where the ceremonies of the day were continued and concluded after the ancient Masonic fashion in harmony and brotherly love .

THE annual meeting of the Provincial Grand Chapter was held on Monday afternoon , under the auspices of the Three Grand Principles Chapter , No . 208 , in the Masonic Hall , Long Causeway , Dewsbury .
The Provincial Grand Superintendent the Right Hon . W . L . Jackson , M . P ., presided , and there was a large attendance of members , ' only four Chapters within the Province being unrepresented .
After the transaction of formal business , the Provincial Grand Superintendent , addressing the Companions , said he was glad to know that there was no question of any great importance that he had to bring before them . In thanking the members of the Dewsbury Chapter for their invitation ,
he remarked that Dewsbury held a prominent place with regard to Royal Arch Masonry , and the first Provincial Grand Chapter was held there about 40 years ago . That was the ninth occasion on which they had met in the town . He urged the importance of strengthening the Chapters throughout the
Province relatively with the Craft Lodges , and referred to the deaths of Lord Lathom and Colonel Le G . N . Starkie , as great losses to Masonry . He concluded by moving a resolution recording the sense of loss Royal Arch Masonry had sustained by the death of those two Companions .
Comp . J . H . Malcolm seconded the motion , which was carried .
It was decided , on the motion of Comp . J . C . Malcolm , seconded by Comp . W . Watson , that a sum not exceeding £ 25 should be expended in purchasing a safe for the proper custody of the registers , & c , of the Provincial Grand Chapter . .
Comp . W . Smith , on behalf of the Prov . G . Registrar , presented the accounts for the past year , which showed a balance in the hands of the Treasurer of £ 272 8 s lid . The balance-sheet was adopted , on the motion of Comp . C . A . Phillips , seconded by Comp . G . H . Parke ,

Comp . W . Smith proposed Comp . Thomas Wood , Regularity Chapter , No . 44 8 , as Provincial Grand Treasurer . This was seconded by Comp . A . Robertshaw . There was no other candidate ^ and Comp . ON the invitation of the Middlesbrough Lodge , the annual meeting of the Mark Master Masons of this Province was held on Thursday , nth inst ., at the Masonic Hall , Middlesbrough , the Right Hon . Lord Bolton Provincial Grand Master presiding over a very large gathering of Brethren from the various Lodges in the Province .
After the Brethren had been entertained with light refreshments the Lodge was formed , Lord Bolton presiding . The report submitted to the Lodge showed that the Province was in a flourishing condition , the balance in hand
amounting to over £ 20 . Bro . W . J . Marshall P . M . P . P . G . W . was re-elected Prov . G . Treasurer , and the following appointed the Board of General Purposes for the j'ear as required by section nine
of the bye-laws , viz . : Bros . T . B . Whytehead P . P . G . W ., J . Blenkin P . P . G . D ., W . H . Cooper P . P . G . W ., and M . M .
Westerby P . P . G . O . Bros . G . Lamb P . M . and J . Blenkin P . M . were elected Provincial Auditors . It was resolved to provide Standards for the Standard Bearers of the Province , and to accept the invitation of the . Streonshalh Lodge to hold the next Provincial Grand Lodge at Whitby .
On the proposition of the Prov . G . Mark Master a very hearty vote of thanks was accorded the Middlesbrough Lodge for their hospitality . Lord Bolton then appointed and invested his Officers for the ensuing year , as follow :
