Mulvey offered himself as candidate , and was examined and entrusted . Lodge was advanced and the ceremony of raising was rehearsed in a perfect manner and without the slightest hitch . The W . M . resumed the Lodge to the first degree , when Bro . A . Bebrouth I . P . M . 2411 offered himself as a candidate for passing . He ' was examined and entrusted , and tho Lodge being opened in the second degree , tho ceremony was rehearsed .

Bro . J . A . Klempner was proposed as W . M . for Monday , but being unable to attend , the J . W . Bro . F . Walker will take his place , he coming on for the succeeding Monday . Bro . Nice proposed that Bro . E . C Mulvey be elected an honorary member of the Lodge , which Bro . Klempner seconded . Bro . Woodrow P . M . had much pleasure in supporting the proposition , saying they were always pleased to welcome new members , especially such as Bro . Mulvey—a Grand

Officer . He would be pleased if he would accept the position , a sentiment fully endorsed by the acting W . M . The motion was unanimously agreed to . Bro . Mulvey , in reply , said they could not imagine how proud he felt at the honour they had shown him in electing him an honorary member of the Lodge of Instruction . He complimented Bro . Woodrow on his ability as a Preceptor , which had produced such excellent work as he had witnessed that afternoon .

Bro . VV . West was elected a member , which compliment was duly acknowledged . The annual dinner takes place on Monday , 29 th inst ., when Bro . C . Woodrow P . M . Preceptor will occupy the chair .

S ., the Brethren saluted in the three degrees , the Lodge being resumed as required . Bro . Wesche invested his Officers .

Bro . Lamb , acting as a candidate to be passed , was examined and entrusted , and the second ceremony was rehearsed . Bro . Burgess , acting as a candidate for raising , was examined and entrusted , and that ceremony was rehearsed . The W . M . resumed the Lodge in the first degree . Bro . James Mayhew , of the Christ Hospital Lodge , No . 2670 was elected a member . A resolution was duly carried to commence the meetings in future at 7 . 30 p . m ., instead of 8 o ' clock .

THIS young but flourishing and hard working Lodge assembled on Friday , 12 th inst ., at 7-30 , at the Frascati Restaurant , Oxford Street , VV ., when the chair of K . S . was occupied by Bro . R . H . Nicholls the well-known S . W . of the Mother Lodge , who was assisted by Bros . J . B Schrader Organist of the Mother Lodge as S . W ., H . Tull J . W ., H . G . Holland P . M . Preceptor , F . E . Soper Sec , H . Ramsbotton S . D ., W . G . Read J . D ., J . Olsen I . G ., Neville P . M ., J . Jones , C G . Ridgway , J . Lamb , J . M . Mayhew , R . Brown , J . Barnett , H . C . Wootton , and J . Wynman .

Brother Past Master Neville offered himself as a candidate for the first degree , which ceremony was rehearsed . The second ceremony was next gone through , with Bro . J . Barnett acting as candidate . The two ceremonies were rehearsed in such a perfect manner as is seldom witnessed , and reflected great credit on Bro . J . H . Holland Preceptor , as showing the attention he has bestowed on his pupils .

Bro . Neville had much pleasure in informing the Brethren that the annual supper of tho St . John Lodge of Instruction ( which is held at the Court House , Harlesden ) would take place bhe following Thursday , and trusted the W . M . and Brethren would be able to attend , just as somo of the Brethren of the St . John Lodge of Instruction did when the Hugh Owen had their annual ball . Bro . Nicholls W . M ., in reply , said the St . John Lodge of Instruction had given them great support on the occasion spoken of . He should be very

pleased to attend , and strongly advised the Brethren to do so , as he was sure they would have a most enjoyable evening . Brother Schrader was elected to preside at the next meeting . Brethren wishing to attend a Lodge of Instruction on Friday evenings could not do better than pay this Lodge a visit . Past Master Holland Preceptor will be pleased to give any instrucbion , and is well qualified for his post .

Bro . Knuth kindly offered himself as a candidate for the third degree , answered the questions , and was entrusted , the ceremony of raising being rehearsed in a very creditable manner . Bro . Saqui was unanimously elected W . M . for the first Monday in December .

HUGH OWEN LODGE , No . 2593 . ON Friday , 5 th jnst ., at the Frascati Restaurant , Oxford Street , the usual weekly meeting was held under the presidency of Bro . R . H . Nicholls Treasurer W . M ., James Barnett S . W ., John B . Schrader JAV ., H . G . Holland P . M . Preceptor , Henry T . Kobelt acting Secretary , Henry Tull S . D ., J . W . Hunt J . D ., W . G . Read I . G ., H . Roberts , E . Burgess , Joseph Lamb , James Mayhew , and C . T . H . Drake .

Bro . Lamb , acting as a candidate to be passed , was examined and entrusted , and the second ceremony was rehearsed . Bro . Burgess , acting as a candidate for raising , was examined and entrusted , and that ceremony was rehearsed . The W . M . resumed the Lodge in the first degree . Bro . James Mayhew , of the Christ Hospital Lodge , No . 2670 was elected a member . A resolution was duly carried to commence the meetings in future at 7 . 30 p . m ., instead of 8 o ' clock .

THIS young but flourishing and hard working Lodge assembled on Friday , 12 th inst ., at 7-30 , at the Frascati Restaurant , Oxford Street , VV ., when the chair of K . S . was occupied by Bro . R . H . Nicholls the well-known S . W . of the Mother Lodge , who was assisted by Bros . J . B Schrader Organist of the Mother Lodge as S . W ., H . Tull J . W ., H . G . Holland P . M . Preceptor , F . E . Soper Sec , H . Ramsbotton S . D ., W . G . Read J . D ., J . Olsen I . G ., Neville P . M ., J . Jones , C G . Ridgway , J . Lamb , J . M . Mayhew , R . Brown , J . Barnett , H . C . Wootton , and J . Wynman .

Brother Past Master Neville offered himself as a candidate for the first degree , which ceremony was rehearsed . The second ceremony was next gone through , with Bro . J . Barnett acting as candidate . The two ceremonies were rehearsed in such a perfect manner as is seldom witnessed , and reflected great credit on Bro . J . H . Holland Preceptor , as showing the attention he has bestowed on his pupils .

Bro . Neville had much pleasure in informing the Brethren that the annual supper of tho St . John Lodge of Instruction ( which is held at the Court House , Harlesden ) would take place bhe following Thursday , and trusted the W . M . and Brethren would be able to attend , just as somo of the Brethren of the St . John Lodge of Instruction did when the Hugh Owen had their annual ball . Bro . Nicholls W . M ., in reply , said the St . John Lodge of Instruction had given them great support on the occasion spoken of . He should be very

pleased to attend , and strongly advised the Brethren to do so , as he was sure they would have a most enjoyable evening . Brother Schrader was elected to preside at the next meeting . Brethren wishing to attend a Lodge of Instruction on Friday evenings could not do better than pay this Lodge a visit . Past Master Holland Preceptor will be pleased to give any instrucbion , and is well qualified for his post .
