Strong Man Lodge of Instruction , No . 45 . —On Monday last , at the George Hotel , Australian-avenue , Barbican . Bros . Gush W . M ., Fitch S . W ., Johnson J . W ., Wing Treasurer , Fox Secretary , Collison S . D ., Pelican J . D ., Oaton I . G ., and several others . Lod ge was opened in due form , and after the minutes of last meeting had been read and confirmed , it was regularly advanced . Bro . Corke

answered tho questions leading to the third degree . Bro . Fox worked the first section of the third lecture , and the ceremony of raising was rehearsed , Bro . Corke acting as candidate . Bro . Pelican worked the second , and Bro . Gush the third section of the degree . Bro . Corke waa elected a member . Lodge was closed , and adjourned till Monday next , ab seven o ' clock .

Royal Alfred Lodge of Instruction . No . 780 . —The brethren held their usual weekly meeting at the Star and Garter Hotel , Kew Bridge , on Friday evening , 13 th instant . There were present Bros . Tucker ( Treas . ) W . M ., Gunner ( Hon . Sec . ) S . W ., C . E . Botley J . W ., Monson S . D ., Sperring J . D ., F . Botley I . G ., Roe P . M . Prec , Blasby W . M . 780 , Goss P . M ., Gomm P . M ., Geflowski , S . Blasby ,

Maton , Cunningham 1612 , Hayes 1559 , & c . After all formalities had been observed , Bro . Hayes answered the questions leading to the third degree , and the ceremony of raising was ably rehearsed , the traditional history included , to the evident enjoyment of the brethren . Lodge was then closed in the third degree , and Bro . Tucker vacated the chair in favour of the W . M . of the mother Lodge , who resumed Lodge to the first degree , and rehearsed the ceremony of initiation ,

Bro . Goss kindly representing the candidate . Bro . Tucker resumed the chair . Bros . Hayes and Cunningham were elected members . Bro . Gunner was chosen W . M . for 3 rd June , and he appointed his Officers . 20 th May will be Officers' night , and the 27 th May tbe regular meeting of the mother Lodge . Lodge was then closed , with due observance of antient custom , and the meeting adjourned till 20 th May at 8 p . m .

W ., Farwig Preceptor , F . Green Hon . Secretary ; Bros . Hemming , Sillis , Kirkaldy , and others . Lodge was opened in due form and minutes of last meeting

were read and confirmed . The first section of the second lecture was worked by Bro . Farwig . The ceremony of passing was rehearsed , Bro . F . Green candidate . The second and fifth sections were worked by Bro . Hemming , and ( he third by Bro . Richardson . Bro . Percy was elected W . M . for the ensning week . Lodgo was then closed in perfect harmony .

Hayes answered the questions leading to the third degree , and the ceremony of raising was ably rehearsed , the traditional history included , to the evident enjoyment of the brethren . Lodge was then closed in the third degree , and Bro . Tucker vacated the chair in favour of the W . M . of the mother Lodge , who resumed Lodge to the first degree , and rehearsed the ceremony of initiation ,

Bro . Goss kindly representing the candidate . Bro . Tucker resumed the chair . Bros . Hayes and Cunningham were elected members . Bro . Gunner was chosen W . M . for 3 rd June , and he appointed his Officers . 20 th May will be Officers' night , and the 27 th May tbe regular meeting of the mother Lodge . Lodge was then closed , with due observance of antient custom , and the meeting adjourned till 20 th May at 8 p . m .
