An interesting Exhibition was opened on tho 17 th , at the St . Bride Foundation Institute , Bride Lane , Fleet Street . It will remain open until the 28 th , and consists of a large number of framed specimens of different styles of displaving the same copy . Ornaments , rules and borders aro freely used with letterpress , and tho result is a display , the inspection of which will be an education to any one interested in the printer ' s craft . The competition was instituted by tho Meisenbach Co . Ltd ., West Norwood , who offered money prizes to the successful competitors . n n n

Spiers and Pond Limited notify that the share transfer books will be closed from the 16 th to the 30 th inst ., both inclusive , for tho purpose of preparing dividend warrants for the first instalment of 4 s per sharo ( less income tax ) on account of the dividend for the year ending 31 st March 1896 , which will be posted to the shareholders on the 1 st of October next . o o o
