including Sir Pryse Pryse , Barb ., Provincial Grancl Master , and the Rev . J . Marsden Deputy Provincial Grand Master . The annual festival was celebrated at the Ivy Bush Royal Hotel , where an excellent spread had been provided by Bro . D . E . Williams .

The minntes of the last regular Lodge were then read and confirmed , after whioh the W . M . duly installed his successor , Bro .

Confidence Lodge of Instruction , No . 193 . —The members of thia Lodge of Instruction held a banquet on Wednesday , at the Swan ' * Nest , Great Swan Alley , Moorgate Street , under tho presidency of Bro . Bollchamber Preceptor , who ia also Worshipful Master of tho mother Lodge . Tho meeting was well attended and gave unbounded satisfaction , as well aa promise of success in the

future . During tbo evening reference was made to the past career of the Lodge , which wo can remember some fiftesn or twenty years back as occupying one of the foremost , if not the actual premier place among the Instruction Lodges of the metropolis . Those who know Bro . Bellchamber may vrc ! I believe that the old reputation of the Lodge is likely to be won back , he being most zealous in the

work of the several degie ?? , and uniting geniality and good fellowship with his capable knowledge of the ritnal . Brother J . K . Pitt the Secretary of the Lodgo of Instruction , who still retains his old love for this branch of No . 193 , was unable to be present , owing to alisorico in Scotland , but his duties were undertaken by Bro . VVood

Treasurer of tho Instruction Lodgo and Secretary of the mother Lodge , who made excelbnt arrangements for tho comfort of the members and visitors . An Australian guest expressed himself as highly delighted with the evening ' s entertainment , which wag certainly of a most jovial and pleasant character .
